Visited Carmine's near Times Square with a few friends. Ordered two dishes, a pasta and a Chicken Parmigiana. The portions are as advertised - family portions meant to share. Four guys couldn't finish the meal, even when washed down with a bottle of vino of...More

There are far better Italian restaurants in New York City to accept being lied to and being treated rudely! Yes, prices are reasonable for the theater district, but a meal will cost even less at Junior's or The Brooklyn Diner. After calling for a reservation,...More

Excellent experience with friends. You can not go solo and eat here unless your taking the leftovers with you, because the portions are family size. Reservations recomended otherwise you wait FOREVER. Loud, noisy with lots of New York energy.

One of the culinary highlights of a 5 day stay in NYC (the only place we ate at twice). I would recommend a visit. It's a big, busy, bustling restaurant that looks like it has been there for 60 years and run by one family....More

We dropped in here because of other people's reviews, not realising that they serve sittings rather than places. Caught a little on the hop, we went for a salad, and then the sausages. Ok, I know what you are thinking, and so was I, but...More

The food and atmosphere was authentic Italian (as was served in my Italian-American husband's home) but they only serve family style. That would be great for a big group but with only 2 of us it was too much money for food we couldn't eat....More

If you are HUNGRY for a big Italian meal in the theater district of Manhattan then head to Carmines. Huge family style portions of your favorite Italian dishes, great value as well.

Try downloading the Best Parking app. Then enter the address you're going to and the day, time and duration you want to park. The app will show you all parking lots with prices. It's fantastic. And it's free!

Description
Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.
