I needed a place to eat and this was 50 yrs from my hotel. Great ambience on entering, immediate seating and service. Prompt with drink request. Fabulous house salad with honey mustard dressing and Sun dried tomatoes, with my Chicken Milanese - outstanding and huge portions. Also ciabata and olive oil. All - Simply superb. Well deserving of a top... More

BEST MEAL WE HAVE HAD IN NYC! We are in NYC for 5 days, and were delighted tonight to find this amazing pizza, with generous toppings and a crispy base. Our waitress was lovely and very accommodating of our requests. Love the atmosphere in this place - lots of couples and families. Would love to come back

Nick's just make amazing pizza. When I picture New York pizza in my head, it looks like the pizzas we were served here. Crispy bases, a tiny amount of charring for flavour. A nice amount of sauce. Premium mozzarella that stretches for miles. Italian sausage with beautiful seasoning. Fresh basil. And it's huge! We stuffed our faces and had enough... More

My wife and I ate at Nick's while staying at a hotel near the Metropolitan Museum. We sought real NY pizza and found it at Nick's. The chef prepared a small half pepperoni and half sausage pizza for us and a small sausage, pepper, and mushroom calzone for me. It proved to be much more food than we could eat.... More

Stopped in on our arrival in the city. Stayed across the street, so very convenient. Portions were large and really good. We stopped in later in the day for a quick Cappuccino, which was excellent. We recommend for lunch or dinner.

We researched the restaurant on trip advisor and found it was walking distance from the hotel. We particularly liked the pricing where you get a family size portion for a little more than the individual price. The food was very tasty and the staff friendly and helpful. It's next Q stop on 96th street and 2nd avenue

I recently stayed in NYC for a week-long visit. My hotel was across the street from Nick's. I ate there three times! The food was very good and the staff was very friendly and efficient. I had spaghetti and meatballs with a side of asparagus at one meal and I had real New York pizza on the other two visits.... More

We ate there twice and both times the food and service were very good. I would not recommend the sausage and rabe pasta as the sausage was overcooked (almost burnt) in my opinion. The pizza and seafood pasta dishes were very good. The penne vodka was good, too.

We were hungry and wanted something quick and easy, so we went into the restaurant nearest to our hotel. We didn't not expect to get such a delicious dinner of pasta and chicken! Very pleased, and had lots of leftovers for next day!

We arrived in New York late (UK time) and needed something to eat before getting some rest. It was really good Italian food and we had some fabulous pasta dishes. The food was that good we even took a calzone home as a takeaway. Yes they do takeaway which looked really busy.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
