I wouldn't have found this place were it not for my friend, who works at NYU. 12th Street was her suggestion, and we met up for drinks (lots of drinks) in May 2015. Who knew you could get beer for just a few bucks in Manhattan? Well, the locals, that's who. The bar is laid back (cash only, though), with... More

We tend to come here frequently during football season. They have dirt beer and liquor all day Sunday. It is a perfect place to bring your own food (SMac and Halal guys right down the street) and enjoy a game with cheap drinks. Bartenders are always nice.

My friend and I were looking for a relaxed low key place to have a few beers and catch up and found this place. It's nice, you can have a conversation, and the beer prices were very reasonable ($3 Bud Lights) especially considering the East Village location. The only two downsides are it's cash only and I could't tell if they... Decided to take my girlfriend bar hopping for her birthday. We decided to stop here because it looked like reasonable happy hour specials (until 8pm) we got a drink around 730. It is cash only. At about 750 I tried to get the bartenders attention. He ignored us until about 757. We ordered drinks and he asked a bunch of... More

You can not beat the drink prices at this spot. I'm a vodka drinker and the $3.50 charged for Stoli and pineapple is incredible. And I know what you might be thinking, but no they are far from watered down. The bar is well stocked and there are plenty of beers on tap. The place itself is no frills with... More

I stopped by here last night to meet up with some friends. It is definitely a sports bar with a great atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably price, and service is great! They have a lot of flat screens, so you can catch any game.

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
