Started out of a basement, small retail resto open in the Lower East Side that now delivers across Manhattan. Original flavours include the famous Crème Brulee, PB & J, etc.

Busy, small place with friendly service, good coffee choices and a lot of donuts to chose from including cake, square and hamantashen. Not much seating, no parking.

I visited early (6:45am) not long after they opened. It was nearly empty which I think served the atmosphere quite nicely. The two staff behind counter were laid back yet friendly (a pleasant change from the garish customer service running rampant in the US). The doughnuts were fresh. Although I had only two, they both tasted like sweet pastry embodiments... More

Their just not finding its time to make the "donuts" at Doughnut Plant they are taking lots of time to make real doughnuts! It's our job to go here and eat the doughnuts, cause they are sooooo good. It's not just the unique flavor combinations. It's not the cool shapes. It's not the different varieties (cake, light and fluffy etc).... More

Since the food tour was booked, we decided to do our own. Had a valentine day special doughnut and a cappuccino. Great start.

We were looking for a place to eat lunch in the area, and found this place on Tripadvisor, so we went here on our way to lunch. Delicious!! Unique. Quality. Friendly service. Clean restaurant. We had a coconut, double chocolate, and a blueberry donut. No public restroom though.

Amazing donuts and much to my surprise, delicious coffee. It's tough to get both in one place. Had the Valrhona chocolate donut and tried the vanilla glazed and Brooklyn blackout that my family ordered. The first two were yeast donuts and the last was a cake donut. Great, friendly service too. A must try place to go!

Having seen this as one of the most popular doughnut place. The coffee is really good, however I would probably say the doughnuts are slightly overrated, nothing special really. I mean they have the variety and also the unique square doughnuts. But I don't really like the texture and I think I've had better.

Went with family for breakfast. Had roasted chestnuts and chestnut cream donut. It was an out of body experience. Need to open a location in Boston.

Thank Matthew P

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
