I stumbled upon this coffee shop by accident and what a great find! Really relaxed vibe with locals and tourists just relaxing. Nicely decorated with a perfect lower East side feel about it. I had a lovely tea and grilled cheese and ham sandwich and it was delicious. Staff were friendly.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning and had a fantastic cappuccino. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. Didn't order any food, but our neighbor had an arepa that looked amazing - will try that next time!

We stopped here for breakfast before going to the Tenement Museum. They had a surprisingly nice selection of hot breakfast sandwiches. I had bacon and egg on sourdough - very tasty and a good-sized sandwich. The coffee and hot cider were very good. The staff was very friendly and prices seemed reasonable for NYC. An extra bonus was the old... More

No listing found for Fulton Transit center so I am trying to do this here. Pastry prices a rip off. Paid $8.50 for 16 oz coffee and slice of lemon poppy seed iced. Slice was 3/8 to 1/2 in thick. Is that standard? The coffee was OK, I've had better from them other times, that is why I went back.... More

I was in the neighbourhood looking for another cafe and walked past this thinking I have to check that out. Worth it too. I was greeted straight away. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. My order was a latte and scrambled eggs on a croissant. Perfect! Speedy service, decent prices and all things can be 'to go' too.

We were staying just down the street so this became a regular haunt for our daily espresso and macchiato. The coffee is made with a lot of love here. Once, the barista came and took back an espresso because she didn't feel it was up to scratch. We didn't mind at all - it was great to see that she... More

Stopped here after a tour at the Tenement Museum for a quick lunch. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Lot of of salad and sandwich choices. The chicken/avocado sandwich was great. Other menu items looked good as well. Service was fast - extra seating downstairs. Reasonable prices. Would go again for sure.

We hade coffee both at this location and the one near Union Square. Great coffee considering the fact that it's in the states. Nice place. The pastries looked good.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
