I knew it wasn't going to be pleasant with the service when the lady in charge of seating people wouldn't even acknowledge me when I tried to pay her a compliment on how quickly they were seating our large group. Looked at me but completely ignored me. Server came to our table of 6 and when I went to tell... More

We went to dinner here prior to a showing of Phantom of the Opera. I'm not sure you can choose a better combination! Our visit to NYC was a hit with the whole family but this night will not soon be forgotten. My family had several pasta dishes while I choose the Calzone. Everyone enjoyed their dish but everyone also... More

The pizza had fresh ingredients and was very delicious. The waiter we had was not friendly at all and seemed to be put out by doing his job. Would however recommend the restaurant.

We were told the quality of the pizza & the beauty of the dining area would be worth the wait. Turned out the wait was only about 10 minutes when we were told it'd be 30, and the pizza was excellent. Martinis were also tasty, and the waiter was a lot of fun.

This is a popular restaurant, and (I think) because it is in a deconsecrated church, it is very loud inside. But then, aren't all restaurants loud nowadays? Anyway, when you get to the back it is cavernous! Beautiful stained glass ceiling. You can watch the pizza being tossed and put into the ovens on both sides of the restaurant. Waiter... More

We took our group of 30 to John's before seeing "Phantom". Our experience was excellent. The food was amazing and the service was great. The desserts were incredible!

Just left John's Pizzeria in Times Square. I was not at all impressed. It was about 4PM when I was seated and before their rush hour. I was seated by a window which was the best part of the meal being able to watch people walking down the street past the restaurant. I ordered a small (6 slices=$20) pizza (They... More

Found this restaurant just walking around. It was busy but they got us in pretty quick. Family of 5: ordered large pizza and whole loaf garlic bread. It was plenty of food. The pizza was great. But the garlic bread was awesome. Also ordered a house salad to share. It was also good. Highly recommend!

We went for dinner last week as this place had been recommended to us but we were very disappointed! The food was ok but the service was terrible. We waited half an hour to be seated which was ok as we hadn't booked but then it took a further twenty minutes before anyone came to take our drink or food... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
