place: little door, semi-basement, crowded, yet VERY nice. Simple and tasteful. Food: fine quality authentic sushi. delightful. Service: one cannot make a reservation, that is how the place works, you wait...and it is WORTH the wait. No fancy rooms, with design decor or lights and whistles: down to earth and superb food.

I looked this place up on TripAdvisor and been happy I did it. It was very quite due to the fact i came after the lunch hours. I was the only person in the restaurant so the staff took good care of me. I wanted some recommendation and the waitress was happy to assist me. All the recommendations were very... More

I recommend this restaurant because it offers a lot of fun and a good quality menu. Food is very well prepared, tasty and most enjoyable. The restaurant also has a sushi bar if you prefer direct contact with the masterful preparers. Moderately noisy but great service.

This place is incredible. Sit at the bar and watch them roll it if you can. Not only do you get your sushi faster it's so fun to watch them! We just kept ordering and ordering and had a fantastic experience. We almost went two nights in a row! They do not take reservations but the place is huge. We... More

We ate at Blue ribbon on Sunday mid day, after reading a lot of great reviews. Sadly the portions were small, quality was poor and the price was high. We did not get sick, but when it comes to sushi you shouldn't settle. We were very disappointed and the great reviews are misleading.

The food here is always consistently good as well as good service. They can get crowded but I've always been able to find seating almost immediately whether or not I'm a group of 2 or with a group of 10. I love the specials they have. The Kale & Quinoa salad is a fave of mine. The salmon sashimi is... More

We found this place be coincidence (nearest sushi place of our hotel). They have the best tasting Sushi and also a wide variety of dishes you don't come across often at other sushi restaurants.

I happen to know of this place through a bartender across the street from this restaurant. And I am so glad that he told me about this place, I can't empathize how much I love this place from the cool music to the knowledgeable bartender and the ambience, the cute wait staff and friendly busy boys. The icing on the... More

We had a blust at Blue Ribbon. Everything was good and fresh. The service was excellent and the prices quite moderated being a place like that. It is also not touristic at all so you're gonna find just Americans with their families. Truly recommended!

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
