Wife and I visit at least once every NY trip. Staff is great. Waitresses are friendly and engage customers in conversation. Food is great. Raspberry wings YOU GOTTA ASK FOR THEM. Prices are very good. You wont be disappointed in this neighborhood eatery/bar.

We stumbled across this Irish bar as it was fairly close to our hotel and we didn't want to walk too far. However I wish we found this at the beginning of our trip so we could visit again. We ordered the wings and burgers and both were great, easily the best burgers we had in NYC. The value was... More

I had a turkey club on a pretzel roll which was excellent. Others had buffalo chicken wrap and burger. All was excellent as well as cherry pie and chocolate pecan pie. Great coffee as well.

Loved this place. I was in New York last week for the 4th of July weekend and stopped by this place on the way to the East River for the fireworks show. Lovely and kind staff with great food at a good value - for New York.I strongly suggest anyone in New York to try this place out. Especially if... More

We had to go to a doctor's visit and came upon this bar pub, near Langone near 38th street and 2nd Avenue. They had the coldest bottled beer ever , the best. Looks like a great selection of hard liquor and business. Ordered the bacon cheese burger and fries and yum Yum! Hot and tasty. Liked the fact that they... More

Pros Nice waitress Good music Cons Bad food - lacks quality and taste For Manhattan, the food is low grade and not worth the money. A $6 Big Mac meal would have been better and half the price.

We came to this bar because my husband and I are both firefighters. The bartender treated my husband wonderfully...me, not at all. He must not like the fact that I am a firefighter, and he's a wannabe firefighter that never made the cut. He ignored me all night and had the waitress help me.

Went to have a few drinks at this pub/restaurant dedicated to the fine men and women of the FDNY. Ate only some snacky food (wings to be exact), and they were truly excellent. Some of the more tasty in NYC. Lovely atmosphere and centrally situated, its an ideal spot for a few drinks at lunchtime or after work.

Please boycott this establishment, it fails to hold the values of the Bravest in hi regard. Two retired members of the New York City fire department while out with their kids, stop at this establishment because one of the kids became ill. They rush to the bathroom to only be yelled and scream at by a rude a disrespectful bartender... More

The Bravest is my favorite bar...period. By far the best dive bar in a 20 block radius. Excellent food including the Burger and Sliders but I would recommend the Crack Melt and the Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
