We dined at Petrossian for Christmas Eve and it was wonderful. They had a special prefix menu for the evening and included many of their specialties. The caviar was magnificent as a starter and my entree of sturgeon was to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant when you are in New York. It truly is an institution!!

The restaurant also has a small boutique next door selling specialties such as salmon, roe, caviar, blinis etc. The Restaurant itself seems a bit "cold" and upscale and a bit stiff. The Maitre'D was excellent and by herself basically oversaw and managed 7 tables. Many of today's restaurant staff, waiters and waitresses could spend a week with her for training... More

There is so much history to take in at this amazing Art Deco decor. My husband and I laughed as we have never felt so grown up. Having no experience in ordering or eating caviar, the waiter was all to kind to help out. Food and service was amazing but a place I would reserve for a special occasion.

The food in this place is amazingly French. Like most true French classic restaurants, the portions are not large but every bite is memorable. The place is slightly on the stuffy side but not so much so where it is uncomfortable. This is a great place for dates and special occasions.

I had never been to Petrossian so my sister and I took a mutual friend there for her birthday. Everything was cooked to perfection, the service was wonderful and the ambiance was warm , I am going again , that is, tomorrow because I enjoyed it so much. I had the duck. It was moist with a very crispy crust.... More

Beautiful Atmosphere, delicious food. This is the perfect place to take a guest or the one you love the most. The menu is varied and extensive menu of caviar. The caviar is just the touch for a special occasion. While the entrees have something for every taste you must save room for the cheesecake with berries. I do not like... More

While the caviar was good, foie gras was very small for the price. Service was indifferent. I was hoping for a more upbeat feel, very old school and not in a great way.

This restaurant is very good, hihg quality and very high priced. The waiter from Colombia did a great job, but the waitress was soooo bad. We will never come again there!
