You've got to take it for what it is. Kang Suh is one of the oldest Korean restaurants in the city. It still serves up mouth watering BBQ. Other dishes are also very decent. Service is OK. The ambiance is just so so, unless you get a private room. Good place for a large group.

Kang Suh has been in Ktown for a long time. My experience yesterday makes me wonder if it was just a bad day for the staff. I ordered the pork and kimchi hot pot and it was quite good. Unfortunately I will pobably remember the rude service and not the good food.

My colleagues and I went for lunch - menu easily adapted for vegetarian and gluten free needs. Small bowls of Korean tastes were interesting and opened your taste buds. Bimimbap and the salmon lunch box were big hits with our table. Service is fast especially during the busy lunch hour .... Food was very fresh and reasonable for mid-town.

This place is going to be boycotted by family, friends, and myself. Forever. Months ago they booked us for a private space for 25 people for Paebaek, a traditional Korean wedding ceremony. The night before the ceremony, we flew in and decided to check the restaurant out. There.Was.No.Space. The manager lady acted dumb like she didnt know what she was... More

Our group of ten friends had dinner at this Korean restaurant located in Korea Town in NYC on a July summer evening. To start we ordered a medley of the small plates of appetizers (starters) as shown in my pictures. To drink we had assorted cocktails and scotch. For the entrees we specially ordered the popular chicken fried rice with... More

This place was highly recommended by friends, and we went there in a big group, which I now think may have been a mistake. A group of four or six is not bad, but 15 probably was too many in one long table. You do not get personal attention. Their food was OK, but I must add that I have... More

As a Korean immigrant living in NYC, I'm always in search of a place that has good traditional Korean (my husband calls it "TradKo") food, reasonable prices and a convenient location. Kang Suh meets all of those demands. Not the greatest Korean meal you will have in your life but good to excellent dishes. What I call "dependable" in that... More

I've been to Kang Suh a few times now and it has always been great food, the restaurant is open 24 hours and looks a bit tired but the food is worth it.

A large variety of Korean and Japanese dishes with lunch specials and table barbeque. Great tastes and reasonable prices.

We stopped here based on its proximity to our hotel in Times Square. I read the reviews and viewed the online menu. We arrived around 930 on a Thursday night and it wasn't that busy so we got right in. The food was very good. Actually it was better than good but the service was horrible. Our server looked at... Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
