Slow, very amateurish service and mediocre food from the prix fixe Sunday brunch menu made this annual visit a real bust. Table next to us received their order, sent it back and got replacement food before we got anything at all. Bean soup tasting like hot dogs, stale/underdone pastries, overcooked, rubbery, paper-thin steak, soggy fries and salad. Waiter said most... More

The food is pretty good but not as good as eighteen - much better than tam tov though. My daughter ordered a 50 dollar steak - fifty - can I swop the chips for sweet potato chips? Answer no. Can I speak to the manager - no the exec chef is not here till tomorrow. Well given their service rigidity,... More

Food was tasty (see below). We were 9 people and started with a bunch of appetizers including the tuna and also the beef jerky which was excellent. Had the pepper steak which was extremely peppery but good. Two vegetarians had their entrees return arpumddd

Stopped by for dinner after a play, waited 25 min for a waiter to acknowledge us, and take our order (At 5:05 PM, barely any customers there). Food (ribeye steak for me and chicken breast for my wife) was very good. The highlight of our evening was the busboy who kept checking whether the waiter had taken our order during that... More

Awesome Steakhouse located in the theatre district of Broadway . It is clubby and old school woody feel. Food is fantastic classic style. The extra...it is Kosher for those that are looking for a steak au poive that is on pare with the best ever not to mention the single malt scotch selection.

We came in to close out a little getaway together. Within five minutes of walking in we had been given the chance to order. Food came in a timely fashion, and the staff was very courteous.

Have visited this restaurant several times with family and friends but this was the first time I had a business dinner there. When making the reservation, I specifically asked for a quiet corner. When we arrived, they lost our reservation and then sat us down to a large group who was having a birthday celebration for their child. Not quiet... More

Every time I come to NYC, I always make it a point to stop into Le Marais Steakhouse. Aside from being Kosher the quality is always superior to even non kosher establishments. However tonight we ordered 3 steaks and all of them arrived dry and over cooked on top and undercooked in the middle. After about 3-4 bites we called... More

5 dinners, three steakhouses. I happened upon this steakhouse on one of my nights in the city. After looking over the menu decided on a steak medallions asked for it to be cooked medium rare on the rare side. I was promptly told that could not be done. Either rare or medium was my choice. Ive never been told that... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
