My husband and I visited on December 29th for a light lunch. We were promptly seated to our table with our drinks order taken. We shared the sliders, pasta of the day which was marinara along with a side of fries. The food was absolutely sensational! The amount of flavour packed into the little sliders was just amazing! Same goes... More

The hostess seated two of us downstairs and then by mistake put the rest of our group upstairs when they arrived. After we were finally united, we got bread, oil and water and nothing else for over an hour. After begging for service, we got our first courses. Then we waited again for an hour for our main courses. The... More

My daughter and I had had enough of TimesSquare, and were headed back to 5th Avenue when we ducked in fo r a drink. What started as a drink turned into a split green salad and charcuterie, which then turned into the salade Nicoise. Overall, relaxed, decent service and good food. A nice surprise!

This is an excellent kosher steakhouse located in times square. The service is very good and they have a great selection of wine and good beers are available. We had the morrocan lamb chili (for an appetizer it actually fills you up nicely) and the lamb shank + beef medallion for main course. The lamb shank is excellent if you... More

We have been going to Le Marais for at least 20 years. It was always our favorite kosher restaurant and our go to place for any special occasion. We even hosted a party there several years ago for a special anniversary and treated about 25 friends. That is how much we loved this place. Being that is also convenient to... More

I recently went to Le Marais with my boss while on a business trip. I had the Hangar Steak and he had the filet. Both were cooked to perfection with lots of flavour. It was a busy Sunday night and our service was attentive, but I felt like we were being "rushed" out so that someone else could take our... More

Slow, very amateurish service and mediocre food from the prix fixe Sunday brunch menu made this annual visit a real bust. Table next to us received their order, sent it back and got replacement food before we got anything at all. Bean soup tasting like hot dogs, stale/underdone pastries, overcooked, rubbery, paper-thin steak, soggy fries and salad. Waiter said most... More

The food is pretty good but not as good as eighteen - much better than tam tov though. My daughter ordered a 50 dollar steak - fifty - can I swop the chips for sweet potato chips? Answer no. Can I speak to the manager - no the exec chef is not here till tomorrow. Well given their service rigidity,... More

Food was tasty (see below). We were 9 people and started with a bunch of appetizers including the tuna and also the beef jerky which was excellent. Had the pepper steak which was extremely peppery but good. Two vegetarians had their entrees return arpumddd

Stopped by for dinner after a play, waited 25 min for a waiter to acknowledge us, and take our order (At 5:05 PM, barely any customers there). Food (ribeye steak for me and chicken breast for my wife) was very good. The highlight of our evening was the busboy who kept checking whether the waiter had taken our order during that... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
