First of all, ask for Arian to serve you! One of the nicest, most attentive, and friendly waiters you will ever encounter! He remembers your likes and dislikes as well as any personal information you share. He loves pleasing his customers and is exceptionally sensitive...to their needs. We have seen him now year after year and return to the restaurant to see him. The food is also excellent, but he will make sure to make changes to suit your taste. We come to Manhattan frequently, enjoy staying at the Sofitel, but the restaurant experience is something we look forward to every morning for breakfast and occasionally for dinner. Try it!More

We needed a break from the gazillion people walking the streets. Went to see the tree and a little window shopping but that got old quickly after being elbowed and bumped 10,000 times. We snuck into the Sofitel knowing there would be a bar and...ended up at Gaby. What a neat little gem. Excellent service too. My Gin and Tonic was fantastic!!! Great atmosphere tooMore

We wanted a meal at a rather odd time of day, 3:30. A lot of lunch services were over but dinner had not begun. They were so accommodating here! When they realized my daughter could not have cheese the asked of we would like bread...for the table instead of the crackers they had brought, which were free. We really appreciated the consideration. It was a lovely I rushed meal with just the right amount of attention. The lobster rolls were good!More

After walking out of a nearby restaurant for lack of attention, we found Gaby. It is the restaurant in the Sofitel Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. It was delightful. The sat us without a reservation, made up feel welcome, and everything was first rate, from the...friendly and prompt service, to the craft beer selection, to the filet mignon. Could not have asked for a better meal. Quite frankly I was surprised how great it was, given that it was a hotel restaurant and not a "name" place. I will be surprised no more!More

I went there with my significant other on our second day in New York for some reason we always seem to miss breakfast at our resort which is OK because let me tell you Gabbys was amazing for breakfast. We ordered coffee and they bring...it out in your own personal press down coffee pots they look like literally coffee pot and the coffee was so good along with our server was just an amazing server he came out Fresh baked croissants and other yummy delicious breads that we were able to sample while we waited for our breakfast. We ordered locks and bagels for myself and my significant other ordered From the chef request list an amazing dish I wish I could remember what it was but it was really good. We did visit this unique little French restaurant two times for breakfast and of course a couple of drinks it was right next-door to our hotel. I will revisit the next time I’m in New York and try out their dinner menu. From the chef request list an amazing dish I wish I could remember what it was but it was really good. Sonia welcomed us very warmly at the door and graciously allowed me to choose the type of table I preferred. Our server was outstanding, the food quality was top notch! My husband ordered the filet and being a beef man, said this was the very...best tasting filet he’s had yet! (That’s saying something!). I chose the stripe base with mussels. We ordered from the Theatre Menu which was a 3 course meal much cheaper for the same size portions. Great offering! The coffee was brought in individual carafe french press pots. Great touch and delish coffee!More

Gaby is located in the Sofitel. The setting is nice, the food is good, and service was first rate. The meal was expensive, but still good.

Whilst waiting for our room to be ready to check in we had lunch at Gaby’s. It was early and the restaurant was not full. We were shown to a table in the corner by the window but immediately asked for another table as there...was debris on the floor (Cheerios and sugar packets) which was still there when we left about an hour later. Our new table was also by the window and this time the floor was decorated with a bottle top. We were offered still or sparkling water and realised only later that instead of Evian ($9 plus tax) a jug of tap water was available. We both chose the lobster roll which we enjoyed. One very good thing was that, as we were hotel guests, we were given a 15% discount on our restaurant bill. However, we gave Gaby’s another chance when we went for dinner and we’re so glad we did – a totally different experience! The restaurant was clean, we were shown to our table by a friendly lady who was concerned that we should be happy with our table, unlike the lady at lunchtime who really didn’t seem to care about anything much at all. The waiters were superb, really helpful and friendly. We were offered a choice of tap or bottled water this time! We chose from the special theatre menu which included specially priced wine. It was a very good three course menu, hard to decide what to choose and the food itself was of excellent quality, beautifully presented. Breakfast was also very good. If breakfast was included in your room rate you were given a menu to choose one entrée from a very wide choice ranging from cooked breakfasts to fresh fruit and pastries. I enjoyed my Eggs Benedict and my wife loved the Avocado toast with tomato, goat’s cheese, arugula and poached eggs. With this came a hot drink – we each had a cafetière of coffee - a choice of baguette, croissant or pain au chocolat and fresh fruit juice which was replenished without having to ask. Once again the service was superb. There is also a very good menu for bar snacks and room service was quick and efficient. In all we had lunch here twice, dinner once and breakfast four times. With the exception of our first lunch everything was truly excellentMore

We stopped in for drinks and to watch the US Open before our broadway show. The cocktail that I had was spritzed with Chambord and was delicious. The bartender was very nice and they gave us munchies to snack on as well. We also had...breakfast there twice and it was very good. One order of coffee is plenty for two people as they give you a whole pot and they give complementary croissants which were excellent.More
