Been here several times and never disappoints. The branzino for two is absolute perfection. I also highly recommend the grilled octopus. Another nice touch is the fresh oregano that is snipped at the table to add flavor to the olive oil. I like that. The desserts are not exciting, especially if you are a chocoholic, but the food is so... More

Make a reservation to enjoy great Greek seafood and you won't be disappointed. Beautiful room (though if you're seated looking at the wall it would be more interesting to look at a mural, mirror or anything but the large blank white wall for a few hours). Go shopping for your fresh fish with your waiter at the display near the... More

One of the best meals we've had the pleasure to experience. Everything from the food, service, wine and atmosphere was outstanding. Fresh fish was on display and we were able to choose our fish before it was prepared perfectly. We chose grilled octopus for an appetizer which was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!

That was by far the best restaurant in Manhattan - amazing quality seafood and fish! Better than in Greece or Cyprus (Milos is a Greek cuisine place). Before being seated at the table we were escorted to the bar where two pretty girls very quickly served champagne and basic but good cocktails. Worth having a look at them. In summer... More

The quality of the food is excellent. Fresh fish displayed you can pick from and cooked to achieve the greatest taste. The place is very noisy, the acoustic of the high roof makes it like that. So if you want to have a quiet dinner, either consider the option of booking a private room or going somewhere else. You need... More

Milos is a solid Restraurant , but I would not call it extraordinary or special. The octopus appetizer was nice ...I've had better . The fish seems fresh , the lambchops were nice . Overall nothing was a WOW . The service was very good .

If you look for a great and decent seafood restaurant in Midtown, this is a perfect place to go. The seafood bar gives you a lot of choice to pick your fish and the waiters are very friendly, efficient and treat as if every one of them wants to be a perfect host. The octopus was one of the best... More

This was my second visit to the NYC Milos. Unfortunately I again left feeling dissatisfied with the food. The octopus, as in the London location, is amazing. And the lamb chops which I ordered after I told the server that I was not enjoying the fish was also very good. But for a second time the fish was very fishy... More

Everything was perfect, almost. We have no complaints about the service or food, both excellent. But it's really not a place for two to dine. The entrees are to be shared, and that's fine for two save for the issue of each of the two having to settle for what the other likes. Not a big compromise, but one nonetheless.... More

Description
It was in 1980, when Chef-Owner Mr. Costas Spiliadis opened the first Estiatorio Milos on Park Avenue, Montreal. The reason seemed obvious to him: the need to elevate the sophistication of Greek cuisine abroad far away from its stereotyped forklorization.

'I wanted to change what people thought about Greek cuisine, make sure it's being appreciated and awarded with its rightful place on an international level!'

As a small restaurant, Milos gained the trust of the Montrealers in no time. The menu being always simple and impeccably fresh, drew the attention of the media and food critics from around the world. NY Post has triumphly started that 'Milos fish could only be fresher if it swam to your plate!'

What was the secret that made Milos stand out? Its focus in finding the purest Mediterranean products and cooking with the freshest ingredients.Through 35 years of intensive research, we have managed to build lasting relationships with growers and small-scale fisheries at the shores of Greece, Morocco, Tunisia and Portugal, flying in our fish and seafood daily by plane! Milos has since then taken the world by strom and opened in 1997 in NYC, in 2004 in Athens,in 2010 at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas and in 2012 in Miami Beach and in 2015 in London!

We invite you to live the Milos experience and celebrate with us our 35th year anniversary!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
