We've been dining here since Gilbert and Maguy LeCoze opened it in the same location 30 years ago. As we now live in Naples, FL, we only travel north to pay homage to this world renown seafood restaurant on occasion; and it never disappoints. In fact, the kitchen under the leadership of Eric Ripert has continued to reach new heights... More

I was surprised to see the reviews that claim "perfection" . I am certain that they have not dined in as many Michelin 3 star restaurants in Paris or London as I have. In fact, Europeans do not freely use the term "perfection". It is only reserved for suberb and distintive gastronomic cuisine that uses superlative ingriedients. The quality, mastery... More

We had lunch a Le Bernardin on Good Friday. The overall experience was sheer perfection, from the service to the excellent food. The lunch prix fix menu has a good selection - you get 3 courses and I found multiple items on each course that appealed to me. I started with the calamari stuffed with crab meat as my appetizer... Had a lunch sampling care of Chef Rippert, the meal that was arguably the best of my life! As a seafood fan and a serious foodie, it was a dream come true and made real by the exemplary service of Masa and the rest of the wait staff. Find a way and be patient with the long waitlist, because trust... More

Le Bernardin is truly amazing with its superb seafood, extensive menu, attentive staff, wonderful knowledgable sommelier, and beautiful serene ambience. Obviously, it is an "experience" you will not soon forget. It might be difficult to get a reservation, but I recommend persistence and patience because Le Bernardin is so worth it! As others have mentioned, your experience will not be... More

We had visited Eleven Madison Park, Daniel and Per Se on consecutive nights during a trip to New York. Le Bernardin was the fourth restaurant that we dined at and it outshone the other three in several ways. We had the Chef's Tasting menu with wine pairings which consisted of 8 courses. We live in Queensland and have a love... More

Not for the faint of heart price wise but it is as good a restaurant as there is anywhere -- exquisite -- lunch is a great more affordable option

For many years, this has been our #1 restaurant in NYC. Perfection in the service, the staff, the menu, the food. Le Bernardin never disappoints and makes dinner so so special.

This is the best meal I have ever eaten with out a doubt. The service was very professional. The food was out-of-this world. If this is not the best restaurant in North America, if not the world, I would be shocked. If you can manage this (reservations are not easy to get and it not cheap) you should go. It... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
