I have eaten at this place many times and never had anything less than a fine meal. Last Sunday I went in more than a half hour before posted closing and was turned away, told they were closed. People were still eating, and I wasn't coming in 5 minutes before closing. I voiced my disappointment that I was being turned... More

We were looking for fine dining for our 33rd wedding anniversary. My wife made the best food choices; the arancini were full of flavor and the veal cutlets with prosciutto, parmigiana and truffles also excellent. My rabbit appetizer was lacking flavor and the papardelle with venison was very good, although I could not taste the chestnut in the pasta. The... More

This was our second time eating at ViceVersa and we had another excellent experience. Food was wonderful and service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The holiday decorations were still up and added a touch of festivity to counter the cold weather that night. Two of of us did the very reasonable prix fixe and had delicious beef short... More

Always love this place for a pre-theater dinner. Food is always great, enjoyed Tomato Mozzarella salad and a fish entree. Service is always good. Place is always busy so plan ahead and make reservations well in advance.

We were headed for NYC for a matinee the week before Christmas and found it difficult to make reservations for lunch. A favorite restaurant was fully booked and suggested Vice Versa on 51st St near our theatre. We were more than pleased. The lunch menu for price fixed at a reasonable $26. which included an appetizer and an entree. Perfect... More

17 Years, still outstanding, Best full 10 oz. martinis in NY. Excellent food (try the veal), world class service, great desserts. Nothing missing. Just excellent.

One thing I truly hate about a restaurant is when the lighting is so poor that you need a flashlight to read the menu. Such is the case at ViceVersa. The restaurant is set up nicely, but I have no idea of why there are only small spotlights scattered throughout the restaurant. With a large party of 8 people you... More

We booked this place with the recommendation by one of our guest joining us for dinner before going to the theatre. I was pleasantly delighted by the menu and the quality of service was impeccable. ITs ne of a few restaurants where you can have a conversation with your guest without having to raise your voice or strain to hear.... More

Excelente restaurant in all aspects: food, service and environment. Quite restaurante, excellent service, delicious food. Hot cake chocolate is delicious! It is difficult to find a quite and charming restaurant like this in Manhattan. Strongly recommend mainly for couples or small 'quite' groups. Very very good service!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
