Wonderful Italian restaurant in Little Italy. Service was excellent and a good/reasonably priced wine list as well. We were there on a Saturday night and enjoyed the special weekend ragu that was outstanding.Highly recommend for a classic meal.

Visited with friends for lunch and we all ordered to pasta. Almost as good as pasta in Italy and a very good meal overall. service was excellent and a good choice of wines. would highly recommend above many of the pure tourist places in the area for some genuine pasta cooking.

On Mulberry Street in Little Italy is this nice Italian restaurant. We stopped here to grab a bite to eat for a late lunch. We were seated in the back in the garden room. It was a very cozy, warm atmosphere with skylights bringing the sunshine in. We had some wine and a few appetizers before our cruise on the... More

The restaurant is very big, and the tables are comfortable. Overall atmosphere and service are very nice. Appetizers we had baby fried shrimps, and stuffed mushrooms(4 small shrimps). They tasted great but were in very low in quantities. Main dish I got veal with mushrooms, onions and white wine. Portion was okay, and it was very tasty. I totally recommend... More

A busy and bustling restaurant in Little Italy. Food was OK but nothing really to go overboard about. Tasty, hot and good portion sizes. The meatball starter was very good. Service was slow. We had a table for 20:00 and didn't get our starters until 21:00. In fairness, the staff apologised profusely and did give us a round of drinks... More

Fantastic dinner.....extensive wine list, great Italian experience. We had 14 and all got their meals at the same time...everyone was happy with their meal which is a rarity in my family. My 11 year old inhaled his large bowl of pasta and declared it to be the best he's ever had. I started with mussels fra davao which were very... More

I am compelled to do a review because you have so many choices in Little Italy. Walking down Mulberry Street you are bombarded with employees trying to get you to eat in their restaurant. Il Cortile is large with several different dining areas to choose from. I loved the Garden Room. Tall ceilings with plants filling room make it so... More

This was a stop on our Little Italy Gangster Tour (Metro NYC Tours.) I was encouraged to try the pasta which I have generally avoided in recent years, as it's just never quite "right." This pasta was stunningly perfect!!! Service superb, accompanied by great Pinot Grigio, and a wonderful rich gangster history. Everybody loved their food and the ambience.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
