Pretty authentic Cantonese food in New York's Chinatown. Good dishes and service. The noodles and the eggs dishes were delicious. Great Chinese decor. Not too expensive. I recommend it!

Love going here for congee with abalone and hundred year eggs, as well as the other highly authentic and well-prepared Chinese specialties. The food is always satisfying and accommodates both conservative and more adventurous eating.

Congees are Great for breakfast or on cold weather. Nutritious with many choices of ingredients, great for sharing and sampling. There are many regular food items too! Nice decor and setting. Busy with slightly slow service at times. Try!

We sat at a big table with a lazy Susan in the middle. We poured ourselves hot tea and read thru the menu. We picked a variety of dishes to share. The food came out fast. It was the perfect afternoon on a rainy day.

After arriving from a long trip to get to New York, we had the best chinese cantonese style dinner, we had the big bowl chicken noodle soup to share with my wife and the sour-sweet pork chops we had a nice late dinner.

Was recommended to visit this restaurant by a friend. Typical Chinese restaurant atmosphere. Ordered a beef congee with fried dough sticks, a beef chow mein, char sell bow, & fried pork dumplings, Only the congee was really good. Guess that's what they are known for. The rest was just okay. The fried dumplings were thick and doughy...not too good. Wouldn't... More

I ate here twice over five days and both times the food was excellent, the portions are a good size, and the quality is high. I really enjoyed the short ribs in black pepper, the meat was tender and the sauce was very tasty, the hot & sour soup was lovely too, but the portion was massive, enough for 4-6... More

I got the menu outside of the restaurant look through it before I decided to went in and eat for I knew that not everyone knew how to speak English. Most of the people in Chinatown speaks Cantonese. I ordered the chicken and mushroom congee. I love it... More

First up, they don't talk in English. Secondly, the owner tried to act very smart by taking down the order from us the second time after we had placed it with the host. When half the order came in the second time, we refused to accept it. The owner pretended to be friendly and nice, and came along and told... More

This restaurant does not offer the greasy stir frys of a typical suburban Chinese Restaurant. I was with a party of 8 which included one person who was familiar with the extensive menu. He ordered food I would not have know enough to order but which was excellent including chicken feet and razor clams. We also had a whole duck... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
