My husband and I really enjoyed this restaurant last time we were in Manhattan. I was getting geared up for the French Toast for over a week before our trip. Sadly, we went by last weekend and the restaurant has closed.

Wonderful diner food! Small seating area, so expect a wait. Best cheese grits you'll find around here. Worth the wait!

I had breakfast here with my girlfriend twice when we were in New York for a week recently (June 2015). The portions are huge and filling, the cookies and cakes are great too, and the staff is super-friendly! I've been to the Kitchenette up in...More

Funky - busy - unusual brunch menu - good food, service fine if a bit detached. Prices were good and the selection is excellent. Grits were amazing - eggs, meh.

Kitchenette will be closing soon as their lease will be over, so this review may no longer be useful. I will say that the blueberry pancakes were very good but at a price of $14, they better be! The cappuccino didn't have a rich taste...More

Rising Tribeca commercial rents have claimed another victim; kitchenette will close tomorrow. No more comfort food.

What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title

Home style cooking at its best is our mantra. Our restaurant is located in the busy streets of Tribecca but one step inside instantly transports you to a quaint country diner in the heart of the New England country side. The pink polka dot wainscoting and tin ceilings along with our funky homemade tables made from salvaged doors adds to the cottage feel. You are met at the door with our abundantly filled pastry cases. The shelves are filled with our homemade layer cakes, flaky pies, iced cupcakes, fruit crisps, and so much more to tempt you on your way to a table. Kitchenette can satisfy all your cravings whether it be an oasis from the cold with our own hot chocolate topped with a homemade marshmallow, or a steamy bowl of chicken soup or a hearty meal of turkey meatloaf and mashed potatoes. We are a home away from home. Come visit us for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Brunch or an afternoon slice of cake and coffee. Hope to see you in our restaurant. Lisa and Ann
