Standard food. Expected better. No cards only cash. Had better Chinese food in UK. Very large portions but food was fairly bland. Lots and lots of onions in the beef dish which was not explained on the menu.

A visit here was with our American friends who had frequented many times over the years. Certainly a different Chinatown to the one in London (which is the one I am used to) as it is much larger and appears to focus less on the...More

When we can, we always eat at Hop Kee when we are in NYC. It has always been a good gastronomic experience in previous past, but this time, we were quite disappointed. We ordered spare ribs and it was burnt, we brought it to the...More

Reluctantly we have given this two stars as the food was good and large (if not wasteful) portions. However the setting leaves a lot to be desired and the waiters were intimidating. The service was non existent but the waiter had the cheek to rudely...More

Hop Kee is one of the better restaurants in Chinatown. Very reasonable and the food is great! But expect long lines on the weekend.

After watching the Bourdain show when I first visited Hop Kee met my expectations: the ingredients thus the food and the flavors were really spot on. I tried all the dishes from the show. It was a true old school cantonese restaurant which I just...More

went with some friends who love this place. Ordered from the specials menu: fish and vegetables, plus salted porkchops. Everything was very good, and the service is fast.

Very good Chinese restaurant. Affordable price and delicious. The restaurant is in the basement and difficult to find.

Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and
smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like
entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle
that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families
stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up
at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from
the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many
bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where
