Celebrating our daughters graduation, this was the best choice to sit, eat fabulously delicious food, and drink incredible wine. The first week in May is a month for two birthdays for our family, and with Mother's Day and Graduation from SVA we all had a wonderful time. Incredible tasting food and synchronized service. Lovely dining experience.

My husband found this and I think it's Michelin recommended. It has a great vibe and very reasonable prices. I liked that the muni prices included the service charge. We received excellent service from Harrison. He was able to answer my champagne queries and he knows his menu! Go there! Highly recommended.

Go to the front room, where they take no reservations so come as near to opening at 11.45AM as possible, and you will love the surroundings and the food. The service is impeccable, even though somewhat slow. Their fish dishes host a combination of vegetables and spices that thrills the palate and heart. Take your favorite companion or an old... More

Highly recommend! Superb food, great service and an amazing setting with the most beautiful floral arrangements I've ever seen! I had the burger on special and it's possibly the best I've ever had! Pricers weren't too bad either.

Gramercy is beautiful with stellar cocktails and service. The night I went the menu was unexpected. The whole table - 6 of us - had to agree on the 3 course menu ($125/person) or 7 course menu ($170/person). They want the entire table to have the same experience ... which relates to timing of dish service. We did the 7... More

What can I say. I've had a lot of good meals in my day but Gramercy Tavern gavel me the best one. I did a 5 course meal. There were 2 options of 5 course meals but I couldn't choose so I combined both. But personally, I think the best dish of the night was the lobster salad off of... More

Impression-gluten friendly, warm and welcoming service, romantic atmosphere in the dining room and happy in the bar, delicious food, more than adequate by the glass wine selections, extensive wine list with reasonable pricing, hospitality included, very expensive My wife and I arrived on time for our 12:45 reservation and were seated promptly. The entry way has a few places to... More

This was soooo good. Our table got the tasting menu and we were not dissappointed. Everything was incredible. The staff was extremely friendly and the night was one of those amazing nights because of this restaurant. I was worried I might be a bit underdressed, but it was fine and I didn't feel judged, haha.

We had a Sunday lunch for 5 and every meal was perfect. They were particularly attentive to my husband's allergy and even made a special non- dairy dessert that was so delicious I ate most of it! They did not rush us, pace was great, ambiance extraordinary. Look forward to next excuse to go there!

One of America’s most beloved restaurants, Gramercy Tavern has welcomed guests for close to two decades to enjoy seasonal American cuisine, warm hospitality and unparalleled service. The restaurant is perennially ranked at the top of Zagat Survey’s ‘Most Popular’ list, and has garnered eight James Beard Awards including ‘Outstanding Restaurant’ and ‘Best Chef: NYC’. Chef Michael Anthony’s highly seasonal menu consists of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors. The Main Dining Room serves prix-fixe menus starting at $92 for dinner and an a la carte menu for lunch, and accepts reservations 28 days in advance. The more casual Tavern serves an a la carte menu centered around the wood burning grill, and welcomes guests on a walk-in basis. The restaurant also features an acclaimed wine list, and thoughtfully selected beer and cocktail offerings.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
