Veniero's is one of those nice traditional Italian pastry houses. There is a massive display case that would take you way too long if you wanted to check out everything and that doesn't include the smaller case for gelato, spumoni, tortoni, etc. If you want...More

Desserts just like great grandma bought back in old New York! Venieros's has been a staple for me for over 40 yrs. I may get a cannoli from another pastry shop, but I will always return to my true love on 11th street.

Away from where all the tourists come, deep in the east side I found this great caffe. My camera uv lens broke in their street. So I searched a place to have a seat and try to fix my problem. Early in the morning I...More

Best cheesecake I've had and I've searched far and wide. The place itself has an old New York charm to it. Service is ok.

As my supervisor was leaving to start a new job, we wanted to get him something he would enjoy. As he is pre-diabetic, I wanted something that taste good, not heavy, with fruits. Veniero's was the perfect choice. It was suggested by a co-worker. Let's...More

I have been picking up our Thanksgiving cheesecake from here for years. It is a very popular place. Even at midnight on a Sunday night you need to take a number to order.

Whether you want to grab and go or sit down, Veniero's never disappoints. When sitting, service can be a bit slow, but worth it!!!! The tin ceiling, marble and tiffany glass add to the ambiance. The coffees are great with or without alcohol. Mini: Cannoli's,...More

East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village,
which offers plenty of unique small businesses
catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college
students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the
old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still
experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned
shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of
the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to

Our Uncle Antonio Veniero came to New York City back in 1885 when he was just 16 years old. He worked in a candy factory downtown from our current location. After 3 years he was promoted to a manager and 6 years later he opened his new business at 342 East 11th Street (our current location) which he called A. Veniero Confections. He just served candies but his patrons wanted something to go with the sweets so he started to roast his own espresso (with six different beans) and then he eventually brought in master bakers from Italy and the rest is history. People have been coming to Veniero Pasticceria & caffe for many generations and we are so proud of Antonio Veniero's vision and we strive each and every day to make the freshest desserts, cookies, biscotti, Gelato and drinks. The secret is simple. Use the highest quality ingredients, the finest flavors, freshest fruits and never take any shortcuts. Please come experience the legend of Veniero's for yourself either in person or online. We promise you will feel the passion that Antonio felt when he first came here to America over 131 years ago. That dream is carried on by his great nephew and nieces along with a dedicated baking staff that has a work ethic like no other. Not many places can say that and we can promise you that we will continue to make sure we make the highest quality baked goods for you and your family for generations to come. From our family to your family we look forward to serving you. Ciao, The Veniero family.
