The great food at this tiny crammed restaurant on 3rd Avenue is the reason it’s been crowded for decades and why it’s risen to the top of our favorite city restaurant list. The thin crust pizza from the wood burning oven is the best we’ve...More

Mezzaluna is a genuine, casual Italian restaurant with a real wood fire pizza oven. Do not go here if you are looking for New York style pizza. The menu is the same as you would find it in Italy. The Pizza’s are excellent. The thin...More

The host is timing how long you are seating down for dinner. Very openly unpleasant. Not very relaxing environment seeing the dynamic between the very nice waiters and the host. You can feel a poorly run restaurant. It is very expensive for a simple family...More

We jumped in just before closing to enjoy their Margherita Pizza. It was served in short order and tasted wonderful. The perfect end to our winter walk that night.

Yummy, enjoyed our thin crusted pizza, fresh pasta and sauces. Enjoyed our shrimp lobster diablo. Staff was friendly and we can't wait to go back.

This our go-to canteen and has been for a few decades. The Italian food is great, the service friendly. All the pastas and salads are good as is the focaccia. For us a convenient upper eastside restaurant.

Hidden gem. Probably the best Italian restaurant in Manhattan. My family and I dine here regularly. It is not unusual to see celebrity chefs dine here. They really know where the good food is.
