What a typical Italian experience , with many waiters that swiftly take your orders and look to provide top quality service. The bruschetta are fantastic, with complementary eggplant and salami . We enjoyed the veal limoni and a arabiatta pasta . Both meals were the very best. The cheese cake to finish off the meal was moist and perfectly prepared.... More

Our reservation which was supposedly made by the concierge of the Carlyle didn't exist, so this wasn't a good start! However the manager made an excellent recovery in short order and found us a nice table despite them being packed out. We were soon served with great garlic bread, bruschetta and salami and sipping a bottle of Gaia. Excellent ravioli... More

Whilst in NY on a short break from London meeting our friends from California, we decided to have dinner here. My friends and I were really excited, as we had heard raving reviews about the restaurant. As we sat down in the overly dark, cramped room, we were given the "appetisers" immediately, before our drinks orders were even taken. Strange...... More

We have been going to Il Mulino for over 25 years. Because we don't live in New York we only get to go every few years. Each time it reminds us that it is one of our very favorite restaurants literally in the world! Food and service is always over the top. The fact the place has not changed is... More

This was our second visit to Il Mulino, the first being 10 years ago and it was as good as we remembered. The bruschetta they bring to the table before you start is just so tasty, along with lovely lumps of parmesan cheese and olives to start your meal off perfectly. The menu is extensive, typical Italian fare. Il Mulino... More

We were four for dinner early on a weekday evening in this crowded Village eatery. When the restaurant filled up it became noisy. Il Molino is very poorly lit; reading the menu required a flashlight. The tables are more appropriate for cocktails but the waiters did a great job clearing plates to make room for each course. The veal Marsala... More

Love this restaurant! Convenient location, nice atmosphere. Food outstanding. They begin your experience with the chunks of Parmesan cheese and olives. Make sure you order their meatballs as an appetizer. Delicious! Can't go wrong with any of their main courses. Seafood, pasta... meat, all great! TavelDivaDayna

A lot of employees, quick service, but not customer appreciation. A big variation of Italian food. Good, not awesome foof. Small romantic place, good for couples

Went here with clients and everyone loved the meal and the service. Taking away 1 star because the restaurant was a little cramped and noisy due to number of tables. Food and service offset any inconvenience.

Had a fabulous dinner at Il Mulino. George and the entire staff made us feel so welcome on a busy Saturday night! Atmosphere is old Italian with wine boxes and tuxedoed staff. Food is amazing! Black truffle and mushroom pasta a true stand out! Make sure to dine here

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
