The AppleJack Diner is definitely one of my places to eat in New York City. I like the warm and hospitable atmosphere of this place, and the service is great. The choice of food is very impressive with a big list of pastas. Do try pasta with mussels and calamari- it is awesome. Overall, it is a very good place... More

This is one of many overpriced diners in Manhattan, where the food is mediocre and you'll pay dearly for it. A glass of pulp-laden orange juice from frozen concentrate is $4.35. A side order of bacon is $7.45. Applejack's online menu says the bacon is $5.95 but that menu is out of date, not accurate. I know because I laughed... More

Solid food choices befitting a diner in NYC. For the city reasonably priced and they always keep the coffee coming. Went for breakfast and thought everything was tasty. A good option for a quick meal.

Nice but a little pricey for a diner. Location is good, good cofee and quick service. Prices are high for a diner.

I have been going to this diner for 14 years and was appalled by the ignorant attitude of Jimmy the shift manager. I had a dinner in there with a dyslexic friend who thought the restaurant had cheated him. Naturally I stuck up for my friend and talked with the manager Michael, but I lost it with him. He was... Good food and reasonable prices especially if you opt for the daily specials, recently stayed for 7 nights in NYC and ate hear 3 times. Service dependant on which staff are in - seems better during the day rather than evenings.

Its time square, so expect to pay over 30 dollars for 2 people. The place is busy and clean. The breakfast was good, the service was good as well.

This is a small little eatery that packs a big punch for any meal! The atmosphere is cozy. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is very good. And, prices are reasonable. My husband had a fresh roasted turkey dinner with dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, broccoli. Soup and dessert came with his meal. Gigantic portions....$16.95! I had a fabulous... More

Suggested by hotel this is a 24hour great find which will be able to satisfy any type of meal you feel like. Friendly efficient service with fresh cooked meals. Had an amazingly extensive menu and reasonably priced with out surcharges for late night service

Stopped in for a quick warm breakfast. Great portions sizes. The omelette was plenty when shared by two people. The prices are very reasonable. The hostess and wait staff were not the friendliest we've encountered but maybe they were just having a bad day.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
