Happened upon this restaurant while we were looking for a non-Italian restaurant (I love Italian, but had eaten at quite a few during my trip and I was looking for a heavy appetizer and craving something a little different). We got in without reservations. I ordered the fried oysters (oddly enough, if I remember correctly, they come from Puget Sound... More

Had a fabulous dinner here. Its a small place and a bit loud but trendy and filled with people enjoying themselves. The menu is very interesting and varied, and the bar has won awards. The mushroom pate was great as were my friend's oysters, via her report. I had the half chicken which was delicious, and the Brussel sprouts--let me... More

We took our grand daughter, a junior at NYU, there for brunch. The service, drinks and food were all very good to excellent. My eggs, a variety of Benedict, with a bed of spinach and matalista ham had a great combination of flavors. The house bloody Mary was excellent wit just the right amount of fresh veggies and a peppery picante... More

Walked in for brunch. Wait for table was forty-five minutes so decided to sit at bar. Great view of bartenders masterfully mixing concoctions. The Orange Spritz was refreshing and delicious. My hanger steak salad was grilled perfectly and salad was dressed lightly -- just as I like. It was delicious. There were many relaxed groups brunching all around us.

Had dinner here last night with our friends. Lovely attentive staff (they even brought us a surprise birthday treat) and great food and cocktail selection. Possibly a little 'hip' for me, and on the noisy side, but a great place for a lively night out.

We went here to celebrate our last night in NYC. We werent disappointed. The cocktails were very good, the shared plate of breads and pate, was really nice, and our mains of gnudi and chicken were excellent, and to finish up the Peach Melba was delicious. All up a great way to finish our holiday.

Went here for an office dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was attentive and service was great. Tried the ricotta knudi which was amazing, as well as the steak. The japanese highball was ok. Also tried their house bourbon and pinot noir which was delish!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. It has a very cool atmosphere and the service is great. The ricotta gnudi is the best dish on the menu, in my opinion - definitely worth a try. The drinks are amazing as well.

I went here for dinner with friends on a Friday night. While initially disappointed that we were being seated in the basement, my mind immediately changed when I saw how cool the basement was! (Also, their bathrooms are so awesome and smelled amazing..no joke) We had the charcuterie board which was delicious and worth every penny. I ordered the half... More

My mom and I visited Saxon and Parole during a mother/daughter weekend. Atmosphere is excellent, staff is delightful, service is on-point, and the seafood tower is to-die-for! Great choice for a very nice but somewhat casual restaurant!
