My boyfriend found Johnny’s through online reviews after I mentioned wanting pancakes on our recent trip to New York it was a freezing cold day so we were delighted to find Johnny’s – though a little worried we wouldn’t get in as it’s so small. It took around 10 mins to get some stools and when we did we were... More

This is a small diner, conveniently located (for us) a few minutes walk from the hotel. There is a long counter with about 10 stools and two tables at the back, one seating 2 and other seating 4. So yes, the place is cramped, something one gets used to in NYC. Service is lightning quick, the food is all freshly... More

In a city with endless choices, this should be the one you choose. Great food, spotless , nice staff, pleasant customers, fair prices and great good. Small with counter seating only. Enjoy. I did!

This is a really special place. Old-school Diner, quite small, with only a few places to sit. Everything is prepared on a hot plate in front of your eyes. Great taste and fair prices. We had blueberry pancakes and the Abdomeomelette (egg white with spinach, tomato and turkey breast on a wrap). Great stuff! Don't miss this original experience on... More

We came across this place after reading that they did the best pancakes . The review was not wrong . This place is a small , family run dinner and must do place to go to. We had lumber jacks which consisted of three fluffy pancakes , two eggs done anyway and sausages or bacon it was served with a... More

This is classic diner food at its best. My salami, egg and cheese sandwich was the perfect hangover cure. Now just to set expectations: the place is tiny and popular, so you might end up waiting for a bit if you show up at a peak time. But don't worry, it's worth it! The food is on point, the menu... The kitchens at the Sheraton just up the street was shut for renovation so they recommended eating here. It really is a hole in the wall with seating for ten at the bar, and a table for 2 and a table for 4 at the back. Unlike many NY eateries the staff here welcome you, smile, and joke (very unlike... Back again to one of New York City's last luncheonette's. Service was great. Food affordable. Didn't have to wait long because I went in around 1:30 pm to avoid the rush. I had the Pastrami Rueben sandwich and finished it off with banana pancakes for dessert. They can get busy at times so be prepared to wait a little. Well... More
