After eating so many styles of food whilst exploring NYC, I decided I needed some Fried chicken :) A quick lookup online and we headed down here for brunch. We had actually walked past this place a few days before and hadn't even noticed it. Its decorated nicely with a nice touch with the door handle shaped as a wishbone... More

Skin on or off will be some of your biggest decisions but all the Chicken and other savoury things are very tasty. Then finish that off with Pie's of all kinds (Banana Cream, Boston Cream, Apple). Real Southern cooking at value prices for NYC. Good luck and enjoy!

This is a cool fried chicken specialty eatery in the Flatiron district. It serves fried chicken, and sandwiches, along with starters like mac and cheese and dessert like pecan pie. It is made to look like your grandma's 1950's all metal kitchen in pastel colors. It also has indie style sodas (no coca cola or pepsi, but they do have... More

this is not the only location but I love this place- nice comfortable big tables and good reasonable chicken- seasonal pot pie but you have plenty of choices- fried if you want with good decent sides and the little pies are really a must- a treat

We stopped here for lunch over the weekend. We each had a Chicken Tender Deluxe meal. The chicken was fabulous. It wasn't greasy for fried food. The biscuits melted in your mouth. The only thing I didn't love was the Cole Slaw. I didn't think it was seasoned enough or had any flavor. I did like that it wasn't made... More

I married a southern girl and have spent time in the South. If you want to feel like you're there, eating a basket of authentic fried chicken, then this place is great. The ladies are friendly and helpful. The chicken was fresh and delicious. The prices were a bit high but then again, we ARE in the heart of Manhattan... More

Give me some of that chicken with a side of Lipitor! I tried the style of fried chicken that has no skin last time I was here and I didn't love it but today during a business meeting I tried the skin-on "Classic" style and it was delicious! The chicken was moist inside. I got the biscuit and coleslaw with... More

Stopped by for a quick meal and had a really nice chicken and waffles. The staff were friendly and helpful, while the restaurant was clean and nicely themed. I would definitely return for another meal here.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
