I've been going here for the past few years and it's the BEST Thai food in NYC! It's a bit of a 'hole in the wall' but it's really charming and the staff and very sweet (despite being totally busy and overwhelmed all the time). My standard order there is the Ratchaburi Dry Pork and Crab Noodles and a Thai... More

This restaurant is very good, great food and service. Great location in Hell's Kitchen. It has a little wait time but it's worth it!

Sunday night had a 15 to 20 minute wait at 6:30 pm. We were fortunate enough to get a table for two instead of a seat at one of the two counters - one along the length of the restaurant and another 3-seater near the soup counter. Crispy vegetable egg rolls ($7)were tasty as was the shrimp pad Thai ($14)... More

This is by far the best Thai food I have ever eaten outside of Thailand. The staff are lovely, the food is honestly amazing, we went twice during our trip to NYC - highly recommend the duck soup and the pad thai - might be worth booking first and be prepared for backless chairs and a tight squeeze! I would... More

It is a very nice, small place that definitely delivers on what they claim: fresh Thai food. The chicken Satay were extremely nice and sublime. The roasted baby back ribs were a nice different approach with the typical seasonings of the thai cuisine. The Sukhothai Pork Noodles Soup was exquisite, and different with a sweet tangy taste.

Pretty darn decent takeout. Alas, eating in was not an option on a Saturday afternoon. They were already 30 minutes deep into the waiting list and the herds just kept on a'coming, so we opted for takeout. Good options though not a huge menu (we wanted more choices - apparently a new menu is on the near horizon). Meat quality... More

Small dining area and you will probably have to wait for a seat, but well worth it! We went to Thailand last year and haven't had a great Thai meal in the states since. This was so good and reminded us of what we had when visiting Thailand.

I like their street food style, and appreciate its reasonable price with the amount of quality food in each dish. But some of the dishes were not as good as I would expect out of a top ranked place

This place is a little away from the main hustle & bustle if you fancy a break from the chaos of Central! Fab service and food and all for a good price. Highly recommend.

Visited Pure Thai Cookhouse for the first time due to raving reviews! After one-hour wait, we finally got seated in the warm and cozy but small dining room. The service was quick and standard - nothing spectacular. Recommending: chicken curry puffs, Ratchaburi crab and pork noodles, and Nakorn Patom duck noodles. So far, not yet impressed with the 'wok' dishes--both... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
