Being Chopped fans, my wife and I ate here on Easter Sunday. We made reservations but snagged some bar seats. The place is lively, has a great vibe and a fun and interesting decor. The music is a bit loud but not overly so and we enjoyed it. We both ordered the Two-Five strip steak w\ charred broccoli, potatoes and... More

I have been a fan of Marcus Samuelson for years. Had the pleasure of dining at Aquavit when he was the head chef and met him when he came to a cooking school that I taught at in Los Angeles. Finally was able to stop in and dine on a recent trip to New York. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and... More

Enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. Loud, fun, eclectic staff who were very engaging and pleasant. Food great, including friend chicken and waffles and cornbread. Try a Yes, Chef alcohol drink. Would absolutely return.

Having read rave reviews about this restaurant we were most disappointed to experience dishes which were overpriced and uninspiring. The hamburger dish comprised of two thin, well-done bits of meat accompanied by frozen chips with no garnish. The potato dumplings were few and far between, though the sauce was tasty. We think Marcus Samuelson needs to re-think his menu and... More

I made reservation way ahead of our trip for my husband's birthday. The atmosphere was great. My husband's shrimp and grits was good, my salmon too high in sodium and not what I expected.

My husband and our two 12-year-old kids went to Red Rooster for dinner on a Thursday night. A DJ was playing great music and the place was bustling. We had the whole fried chicken, biscuits and mac&greens. It was plenty of chicken to share but we had to get another mac&greens. It's so delicious!! Everything! Service was great too. Amazing... Great space, crowd was hot on a Sat night. We had reservations but arrived and were seated early with no problem. Not a huge menu and we ordered a variety of smaller plates to share. Service was perfunctory, food was fine but not the level I expected from the reputation.

Visited on Tuesday afternoon. Laid back approach as staff were changing shifts but the food was as expected; yard chicken, crispy fried and very moist. The food was good fuel to take us through to our evening of exploring New York. I guess you pay for that culinary soul experience.
