The chicken under a brick was tasty and the Israeli hostess was great. The rest of the dinner was average. Cosy small casual place.

Nice decoration with a mix of typical brasserie and library shelves. The service is friendly with a mix of real waiter and boss boys dropping plates on the table when ready. The food is good with a strong inspiration of Mediterranean flavors. Cauliflower and hummus...More

I love Mediterranean food but everywhere I go, may it be Lebanese, Turkish, Persian, they all seem to be the same type of food. There's hardly any difference in the menu. I'm so glad I tried Balaboosta for lunch. (It's actually an Israeli restaurant). We...More

The space is energetic but not overly noisy. The service is very friendly and the atmosphere extremely casual as befits an Israeli restaurant. The wine list is somewhat discombobulated but it has some interesting choices (and good overall value for New York). We found the...More

Great hummus, za'atar pita, patatas, kale and broccoli, cauliflower and eggplant. I did prefer the menu at the sister restauarant Bar Bolonat, but both are highly recommended.

The food here is to die for, and the service is superb. No matter what entree you get, be sure to have the crispy cauliflower as an appetizer. The addition of currants and pine nuts sounds unusual, but it is wonderful. Also be sure to...More

Visited as was recommended for GF options, which there were if limited. Food was of high quality and in a lovely setting. My only comment was the price vs value for money. Oh and $9 for a bottle of water is daylight robbery.

Terrific staff and welcoming atmosphere. Virgin Bloody Mary were delicious and the food was outstanding. Great variety, delicious middle eastern bent to the menu and the egg dishes were outstanding. We would go back to this restaurant in a second. Great spot.

Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita
maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant
retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for
“North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to
be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is
popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of
the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry,
Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping,
