Fun place with good german beer and food. Had the bratwurst . Taste just like I remember from German beer halls. Beer is $9 for a half litter.

The Standard Biergarten was just that- pretty standard. Average selection of beers. Limited food choices. But overall, I had a good time.

It's just beer and very few choices of food. All of which are fairly decent. Obviously with NYC prices.

It's a fun place with a lot of character. They didn't have a ton of taps but there was a good selection of less common brews.

This place is fun but more suitable for younger people (early 20's). Good selections of beers and relaxed vibe

Pseudo-Germanic affair. You buy tokens and then can exchange for beer or food. Beer served in a glass boot was a bit naff. But the beer was good if a tad overpriced.

Nice place, great space! Just was not about having to buy tickets outside to them come back in to cash those in for beer. Speciality drinks had to go to the back. As it gets later it definetely becomes crowded and laud. Nice place, just not my scene

Tried to seat and enjoy the Biergarten but the service on the 27th was not so great so we left and just enjoyed watching my 11 year grandaughter enjoy ice skating.

Waked along the Highline and discovered this place. What a great surprise! Wonderful beers, a great vibe. While I didn't eat that day, I'm sure I will

Great, fun atmosphere but overpriced. $9 for a pretzel. I don't understand why you need to purchase tickets to buy pretzels and beer but you can pay cash/card for liquor drinks. Doesn't make sense. I'd go back but not the first place I'd think of.

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
