After a 2 year hiatus, I went back to Maialino and it did not disappoint. The food, service and atmosphere are all fantastic. Had the cacio e pepe - simply delicious with an excellent glass of red. The service was attentive and best of all no tipping required - a real pleasant change from the rest of USA. Will be... More

We had the special Sicilian tasting menu and it was great. Oddly bread was good but not as good as one might expect in this price range. Also oddly sommelier brought bottle of wine we ordered to the table already opened. At this price range? Service a little slow.

Reserved table three weeks ahead of time for my daughter's 21st birthday dinner, it did not disappoint! My pasta Bolognese was sublime. My daughter loved her cacio and pepe pasta. The mushroom appetizer was wonderful as was the simple green salad and warm chocolate caramel sea salt cake. The service was outstanding. Our waiter helped my daughter select the perfect... More

This is one of the top-rated restaurants in NYC, and deserves it! Fantastic menu, great Italian dining options, terrific wine list (including nice selection by the glass), and terrific service. We had dined here 3 years ago, and returned to have another great culinary experience.

Amazing quality of food and a stunning venue. Italian food was top notch - have to try the banana bread - stunning. I took one star off because the air conditioning was unbearably cold and we asked several times to turn it down.

After a little bit of a headache getting a reservation and ended up having a wonderful evening. Celebrated our anniversary and did tasting menu. Shared a delicious bottle of Sicilian red wine. Sommelier was very helpful. The courses were large and delicious and we did not go home hungry. They did accommodate my shellfish allergy and I had a separate... More

I lived in Italy for a while and love the food but am often disappointed by Italian restaurants in the US, which are boring and way too heavy (ahem, pasta Alfredo). However, Maialino in an absolute favorite. It's a beautiful restaurant in the chic, cozy Gramercy Park Hotel right on the park. The food is fabulous (my favorite is the... More

We've been here in different years, 2015, 2016, 2017. The service quality in my opinion has declined. It is still pretending to be an upscale place to eat, eventhough smiles and kindness seem "on the side". Starting from the welcoming at the entrance. The quality of the food is good, and if you are not italian it is an experience... More

To start with the atmosphere - this place has found the perfect balance between casual and high end. The decor is a well executed combination of simple and relaxed, but top quality and well thought out features. I love that the wine storage is integrated into the interior design without compromising on its functionality. We came for a pre-theatre dinner... More

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in all of NYC. The ambiance, the service and the food - unparalleled! the flavors are so delicious, and detail of each dish is perfectly prepared, and the wine addition is spot on every time. So much fun to dine there too! anything with ragu is heavenly!
