At 1 Central Park South in the Todd English food plaza there is a gem waiting for you to try their lunch rolls, Luke's Lobster! We had the "Noah's Ark" which consisted of 2 Lobster rolls, 2 Shrimp rolls, and 2 Crab rolls...it was absolutely delicious! It was a bit of a challenge to find but now you know what... More

This place is tiny, but nice. The food is great. The main attraction is the exquisite lobster roll and we also tried the lobster soup, available that day. Both recommended!

I had a quick lunch at the Plaza Food Location. I had the "Taste of Maine" menu half lobster, crab and shrimp rolls. It was so good. So far, the best rolls I've had during my stay (and I experienced other location). I'm still dreaming about the crab roll. Luke's Lobster is definitely on my list when I come back... More

We ordered Noah's Special. All rolls were very delicious and yum yum. The service was prompt and friendly too. Loved everything about it and most certainly recommend it.

First off, we ate at the Plaza Hotel Location. The menu is not extensive but what they serve is great. We had the shrimp rolls with pickle, chips and soda. The place features products of Maine so you can get lobster rolls or crab rolls as well. Service was quick and friendly. Meal was very reasonably priced for NYC. I... More

We had been celebrating my birthday and our engagement the previous day and I was feeling a bit under the weather but I really wanted to try a lobster roll and lukes lobster didn't disappoint! Could... More

$15 for a roll may be a bit pricey but it was the best roll ever. Stuffed with lovely fresh lobster meat. I went to this branch and the one at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

A very ramshackle, tiny little place, very basic appearance, but the sandwiches are unbelievable! I had the lobster sandwich, which was gastronomic heaven, it was so good I had to follow up by having the crab sandwich. Which was every bit as good, worth crossing he Atlantic for!

$15 for a lobster roll may sound outrageous, but it is a must try when visiting NYC. The lobster is perfectly cooked and the roll along with the seasoning and mayo is the cherry on top!

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
