When in US I like to have typical American breakfast in an authentic atmosphere. In this regard MHD hit the mark. Good food, nice people, for everybody (families, hipsters, seniors, etc.).

We went there for breakfast during our stay in New York. The food was not that good and the service was so bad... we did not get any support to understand the menu. We had to ask for getting the juice included into the menu...More

Disappointing food, service, ambiance. Many cheaper, better diners in the area. Burgers were dry and unappetizing and not priced correctly on the menu.

We didn’t enjoy our food at all. It was all very blah. Nowhere near as good as Westwood diner, not too far. The wine was good though and the service was lovely. The hostess is sullen and was chewing food as she sat us down....More

Yet another in a long line of good NYC diners. All the standard diner fare - we opted for breakfast plates on two visits over a four day stay. Lucked out as it was out the door as we finished, and noted same on several...More

Dropped in for breakfast with friends. Good coffee with refills, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast with crisp, tasty bacon. Highly recommend this place.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Short stack of pancakes, bacon, maple syrup, corned beef hash and coffee around $12. Great value!
