This order came to $41 plus change without tip: It was an overpriced cheap ripofff that was very poorly executed and frankly extremely disappointing. Here's why: I ordered 2 Entree Salads: Grilled Chicken Paillard for $18 and Asian Steak for $20.00. The majority of the 2 plastic containers in which each salad was contained was -- at best -- 95%... You are welcomed with warm hospitality and great service at Ponty Bistro. To experience the sophisticated flavors and cooking traditions of West Africa combined with French and Mediterranean accents was a treat. Try the Moules Africana (mussels with African spice sauce) and Fish Fataya (Sengalese empanadas, baby greens, North African spices sauce. Kudos go to the chef and the Ponty... More

Unique combination - African and French. Comfortable space, but very empty at lunch. Service was just okay. Only three tables filled and the waiter spent most of his time folding napkins in the rear of the restaurant, not monitoring tables. Food took a very long time to be delivered - not a good quick lunch restaurant. I had salad, chicken... More

The food at this restaurant is influenced by Mediterranean and North African spices. I've enjoyed the Chicken Tagine and other dishes. The service is good, the prices reasonable and the ambiance is cozy.

Amazing food and service! The waitstaff was so friendly and the food was really incredible. We went with 8 people for a birthday dinner. They were very accommodating to our large party and got us an amazing birthday cake. We came with a groupon deal for 15% off and they gave us even more discounts as we talked to them.... More

A delightful place -- comfortable quiet seating, good service, and most interesting cuisine. I believe it's based on French Senegalese cooking. My fish with a spicy sauce, my sister's muscles with a different spicy sauce, and a less spicy squash soup were all great. We'll probably be back next time we're in the city

Decided to try someplace in Gramercy, other than Friend of The Farmer, for brunch. Have had dinner here before but never brunch. Pleasantly surprised but brunch menu. They have a 11/2 hour bottomless brunch for $25.00. We chose other options. There are 4 eggs benedict option. I had the smoked salmon and my companion had the crab. Delicious! And the... More

We went for brunch in a group and everyone ordered different items. All of them were great. You can request to make your food less or more spicy, according to preference. Service was friendly.

The menu was a bit eclectic...with Senegalese dishes and things like lobster ravioli and penne vodka. I tried the the sea bass yacca and it was very good, but I haven't a clue if it is authentic. Hubby had the hanger steak and it was delicious. No problem getting a table at 7pm on a Wednesday night. With two drink,... More
