A last minute call but Wow...so glad! Had the skirt steak with scallion rice...totally satisfied. For what it's worth, is like see a little green - mayb a Asian slaw/salad. Just my 2. But go - it's worth it!

Went with 2 friends on a Friday night. Had a 7pm reservation. Place was busy but had several empty tables that had yet to be seated. Took 20 minutes for us to be seated which is quite a wait for having a reservation; they seemed very overwhelmed by the crowd which was surprising. Waitress was nice but recommended a dish... More

The most excellent arugula salad I've ever had. The place was packed, but I was able to sit at the bar & get food quickly.

We visited Sojourn based on recommendations of a local couple. We didn't expect a lot, but were extremely surprised. After walking through the bar in the front of the restaurant, we were ushered into a nice, cool space. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was outstanding. I started with crispy oysters, which were the best fried oysters I've ever... More

Our friend chose this restaurant to try based on his friend's recommendation. So our group of 4 (all new to Sojourn) expected a 'good' meal but we got a 'great' meal. The seafood entrees were just exceptional. We all would give 'excellent' to the food. The atmosphere (exuberant noise; dimly lit) made conversation (an important part of the dining experience!)... I eat regularly in restaurants and I don't remember when I enjoyed eating out as much as I did at Sojourn, last week. The drinks, the wine, and all of the food that we ordered were excellent as was the service. It is also a rarity in New York, but we could have a conversation and be able to hear... More

I've been around the block and I have to say this place is hands down the best food in the upper east side. Also great selections for wine.

This place gets five Stars for service, five stars for taste, and five stars for making us feel welcome and special. The food here is as good as anywhere in the city. I had a very memorable evening here

I came here after my date suggested it so we reserved on a Thursday. This place is very dimly lit and the decor consisted of aged wood and some old art pieces here and there. Based on appearance alone, it has a very sexy and intimate vibe about it. Definitely a nice date spot. We started off with some wine... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
