What a great neighborhood gem for some out of towners. We hate the tourist traps of midtown and love Greenwich Village for some outstanding food. Had no reservations and they sat us at the chef's table--dinner and a show! Started with the beet salad and...More

A nice, modern Italian. The food was delicious - everything we ordered. An impressive wine list, somewhat overpriced (typical for the NYC I guess), and all Italian. An excellent, friendly service. Highly recommended!

Their home made spaghetti dish is among the best I've ever had. It's simple, and flavorful. The portions were appropriate, not overbearingly large. Only thing worth noting is that the restaurant does not let you pace your own order, they push you to order all...More

The wine list is nice and the pastas and all the plates are delicious BUT the staff is what puts L;Artusi over the top. Always nice, warm and welcoming.

L'Artusi is a special restaurant. The wine list is very nice, the pastas and side dishes are wonderful and the wait staff is always warm and welcoming. L'Artusi is perfect for a very special and impressive dinner out, or a casual night with friends.

We visited L'Artusi for a birthday. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was excellent but what struck me most was the service. It wasn't just one person waiting on us, it was an entire team. Everyone was extremely helpful, warm & friendly. The wine...More

There are so many excellent New York City restaurants, but this one definitely had a Premier atmosphere. We were seated Upstairs and it felt cozy but not too too crowded like so many of the New York restaurants. The food was excellent. There is plenty...More

Description
Opened in December of 2008, L'Artusi is the second step from the team that brought dell'anima to the West Village. Chef/Partner Gabriel Thompson and Beverage Director/Partner Joe Campanale share their expertise in Italian Epicurean Hospitality on a larger stage. Featuring rustic cuisine, a crudo bar, specialty cheese program, private dining room, and a walk-in wine cellar, L’Artusi offers guests a variety of dining options and a warm, friendly vibe. Our 110 seat restaurant, designed by Brooke Maples, features two floors of comfortable banquette seating, extended traditional bar, cheese bar and a chef's counter over-looking the open kitchen. Private dining opportunities are also available in our 2500 bottle walk-in wine cellar.
