Since you can't go to Venezuela, here is some good food in an unexpected place. The restaurant is in a gorgeous residential area of the city. Arepas are stuffed with several things, meat, cheese, chicken, etc. but the flavor was just OK. Food was really...good, first time having Venezuelan empanadas, very different than Chilean or Argentinian. The arepa Reina pepiada was awesome as well! Knowledgable staff who knew about each dish. The drinks were awesome and overall atmosphere made our day.More

My friend and I stopped in for lunch. First time trying Venezuelan food and I really enjoyed the flavours. Pork with avocado and beef with cheddar- both were amazing! Arepa's are made with cornmeal and thus gluten free which makes it ideal for my friend....The staff was very helpful in making suggestions as we ordered. Highly recommend the cachapas and the arepas.More

A piece of my beautiful Venezuela in midtown east! What a delicious & pleasant surprise. Lovely staff, clean cozy location & clean spot for a delicious quick bite. I tried as much as I could and loved it all. From vegan and gluten free options...all the way to the most traditional dishes like el Pabellon. And most importantly, for every arepa you buy, a kid gets fed in Latin America. Te Amo Venezuela.More

Got the chance to try out the new place at Gramercy. The food was delicious! The ingredients were fresh, the place was very clean, and the "Tequeños" were amazing!! Thought it would take me a while waiting in line as there were a few people...but it surprise me on how fast it was. I've already gone a few times and would definitely recommend it!More

Very authentic health arepas! I stopped at Areppas for lunch and enjoyed it so much. The Brooklyn are so yummy. Great place if you need gluten free and vegetarian options. And to try for some different food.

Ducking in for a quick bite before a meeting, this was my first visit, and I must say, I experienced the absolute best salad I have ever had. Fresh ingredients, great service, seat by the window to people watch. I could not have been more...pleased with what I thought would be just a quick necessary lunch. Made a note immediately so I will not forget this spot!More

Areppas is a nice quick serve lunch spot with limited seating. As the name suggests, the focus is arepas, but there are other items on the menu as well, including bowls.

Phenomenal. Thoroughly enjoyable meal at New York. We went with some locals who frequent the place. Decor is simple. Midtown Arepa is delicious. Besides, one can make his own Arepa and have his fill.

I thought there wasn’t enough flavor in the food. All I tased was the very thick arepa as it completely overwhelmed anything else in the sandwich. Or at least make the bread thinner, or add more food within it. I don’t know exactly what, but...something is off.More

This is the best latin food in NYC, They make arepas sandwiches with slowly roasted meats, I Love them. i used to work close by and i had lunch there every day. Its a must try. You can also make your own bowl or salad,...I had their chicken bowl with yellow saffron rice and avocado, THE BEST !!! Also they make all the empanadas in house and they are simply delicious, the cheese melts in your mouth... a must try for sureMore
