An Australian corner closed to the Fifth avenue. Rich and large plates of meat (also Kangoroo is available) with an average price (for the location) I had a huge meat sandwich, perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. Australian beers are available, just like the funny Australian sports on TV :D

If you want to sit at a great bar and watch your team this is the place to be in NYC, with fantastic bar staff and a brilliant atmosphere. I want to give it 5 for everything but it keeps defaulting to 4 below

We stumbled upon The Australian, absolutely starving! We were delighted when our breakfast arrived, well cooked, well presented and delicious. JoJo made the best Bloody Mary's I had whilst in NYC, and Hamish was absolutely charming. Everyone was hard working, but managed to engage for a few moments between serving, etc. Superb atmosphere, and will definitely be back. Thanks for... More

More of a bad than restaurant. With the exception of the noise level (it was super bowl Sunday) the bar atmosphere did not disturb my meal. The service was quick but not at all friendly. My soup was delivered with my meal, but everything was excellent. I did think the kangaroo was a little too well done, but tasty nonetheless.

It was a busy Wednesday after work. Wednesdays are "Whiskey Wednesdays" because I believe all the Whiskeys are on special for like $12.00 (something like that). . I had a made a reservation through Open Table for 7:30. I was promptly seated even though the place was packed. I can be a picky eater at times, so as I am... More

It was the Autumn internationals and we were in New York shopping, and then I found this little oasis of heaven in the middle of shopping hell. The Aussie Barman was spot on and the clientele featured a South African, Irishmen and Scotland's finest so a great atmosphere. Tried the Nachos which were great but the Guacamole turned my poo... Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
