The service was excellent. Our waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. The trio of bruschetta was small but a good variety. The table bread was fresh. The fra diavolo was fantastic. Lots of seafood. My wife had penne and balognes sauce. Gelato for dessert. The cheese plate was disappointing. Cheap cheese. Not very much in the way... More

Maybe my expectations were high - an Italian restaurant in New York - but the place was modern and lacking in character, the anti-pasta were uninspiring and the main - a cutlet of veal piled high with salad vegetables - was a bit tough. I recommend researching your choice of restaurant before you go out.

The food is really not much more then your Italian cousin's attempt to imitate grandma. Basic would be a fair call. But the prices are not in-line, in the negative sense. Service is not reliable and some try too hard in a good way, while others think they are better then you in every way. Not sure this place would... More

This was a little bit of a let down. Our hotel recommended it which seems like they get a commission or something because they kept asking us what hotel sent us... and the hotel called to tell them we were coming... anyways- the waitress was not bright, I asked for vegetarian options and she recommended crab cakes.. lol... I asked... More

Finally with the removal of the scaffolding one can see this real Gem - delicious food - presented well and the staff is always courteous and efficient - it is really good for dinner as it quiets down especially when the UN is not in session.

We came here with a group and enjoyed a set menu with a few choices. Caesar salad and mixed field greens were both good first course selections. Filet of sole marechiare was a very good entree. Both the cheesecake and the tiramisu were delicious. Good coffee was served.

We were staying at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central Hotel just one block away and the front desk clerk recommended Piccolo Fiore. Excellent choice. Excellent, excellent food. Impeccable service. Moderately priced (for New York City). The tables are not right on top of each other like in so many NYC restaurants. We never felt rushed like in so many NYC restaurants.... More

We stopped in late after checking into our hotel just down the street. What a great restaurant. Super fresh pasta, very very good food. It was our first time visiting the city and honestly people's horror stories of prices scared me a bit going into our trip. Piccolo did not fit that stereotype! Great food and good prices. We had... Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
