Casimir is an incredible place for a French Bistro style brunch on the upper East side. The ambience is definitely French, with the service reminiscent of the country as well. You will not be disappointed in either the fixed price or a la carte menu. Items on both are pleasing and reasonably priced for this part of town. The house... More

On a cold afternoon in New York, we wandered into the most amazing little bar. All we wanted was somewhere to warm up and have a drink. Ended up staying for many drinks, some food and a few more drinks. The staff are super friendly and made us all feel so very welcome. And an added bonus was that the... More

Went there for a catch up family-friend reunion/brunch in Big Apple last Sunday. Our friends live near by and it is one of their regular. Nice choices on the menu, nice food, nice service. Good extensive selection of wine We were sitted upstairs, table of 8. Price wise, looked correct forte city. Keeping the address.

This place was so crowded and busy on the first floor bar area but we were escorted upstairs where the ambiance and quiet were soothing. We sat by the... More

Lovely, cozy restaurant in quiet neighborhood. Bar is downstairs with some outside tables for dining, but we sat upstairs. We had reservations but as it was a Wednesday night we probably didn't need at 8pm. Lovely and generous carrot/asparagus soup, french onion soup, lamb confit, and last entree that i cant remember! Reasonable pricing, great service. I LOVE that they... More

Description
Casimir & Co will transport diners from the streets of Manhattan to a Parisian bistro clad with rustic wood finishing on the walls, an open kitchen with tempting charcuterie hanging in the window, and daily menus listed on chalk boards. The full service bar is located on the street level with a few high-top tables, and the L-shaped dining room is on the second level surrounded by large windows overlooking Lexington Avenue. Dishes will be rooted in simple and traditionally satisfying bistro fare. The seasonal and affordable menu will rotate daily for lunch, dinner and brunch offering diners a new experience every day.Signature items will remain on the menu, such as the house’s signature dish L'Entrecôte Casimir & Co, a grass fed NY Strip served on a wooden board with a "secret" sauce and homemade frites for a bargain $22. In addition to an outstanding menu, the restaurant also offers a wine and mixology bar on the main floor and outdoor seating for beautiful summers on the patio.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
