The other day (Thursday) in the afternoon, my friend and I had decided to grab lunch here. We have both eaten here before and the food is alright. Upon entering, we notice that the place is packed. A waitress approaches us and says that they are short-staffed but to sit wherever. She was very accommodating, but you can see on... More

Short rib burger was delicious. Casual, cool vibe. Hubby had grilled cheese with bacon. He did think there would be more bacon on sandwich, but it was good. Will return.

A hopping and lively spot for weekend brunch, though better known for nighttime drinking and dining. While prices are on the high side, no surprise for this neighborhood, food is tasty and well prepared. Convenient when touring the LES.

Came here with a few friends for extended happy hour after leaving Verlaine because it was too loud. Great appetizers and beer selection. Seems to be popular with the locals and a regular spot for others I know. Would go again next time I'm in the neighborhood

We had a group of 9 and needed a meeting place to eat and grab a few drinks before a show at the Mercury Lounge. The atmosphere is casual and loud. The drinks were great, but a little pricey. I had the grilled cheese and was not disappointed. It came with a nice side salad. Other than being impossible to... More

Love visiting this place whenever I'm in New York. The window seats are perfect for watching the world go by outside on Ludlow St. Fantastic selection of draft beer, we tried a few and all were delicious. The food looks amazing, but I've never tried it - next time!

We went twice to Spritzer's as it was opposite our hotel, its so good. They have a fine selection of beers to choose from, most of which we had never heard of but obviously we had to try them. All good. Then there's the food, it looks like just burger and chicken but no its much more than that, its... More

I found this on TA, and went for lunch. It was very delicious and the service was good. The meals are tasty and look delicate. Lettuce is average, but with a fresh vinagrette. Beer menu is great and atmosphere just like it should be in East Village.

My wife and I went here for lunch on a recent trip. I had the fish tacos which were amazing and my wife had one of their salads. Both meals were very good.If you are downing the LES I recommend going.

My wife, son and I stopped here for brunch recently. While the service and food were good(not great), I felt a little cramped from the community tables. It could have been done better. It didn't wow me but struck me as adequate.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
