We had to wait around 15 minutes for our table when the manager said 5 minutes. Other than that, great food and great diner environment. My friends and I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes which were great. Orange juice was a little watered down but good prices.

Just landed in NYC and looking for a good meal to end our long day we stumbled upon CD in Upper West side Manhattan. Retro decor but probably genuinely Art Deco we were greeted warmly and seated in a nice big booth. Attentive waiting staff and good advice from our waitress persuaded us to have a soup and a main.... Great food 24hrs a day. The portions are huge so sharing is a definite. The wait staff were very nice and always smiling. We really enjoyed this spot and will always go back.

This is a very attractive diner with nice staff. Their salads are really good, but if you are ever there for breakfast or brunch, try to avoid anything served with fried potatoes; they are really horrible, a bowl of more or less cool mashed potatoes with - if you're "lucky"- maybe one or two specks of a crust. Even the... More

I used to eat here all the time when I lived in this neighborhood, and now I sometimes come back here for the food. The service is great, the menu is large, and the food is well-prepared. It's typical diner food, but very fulfilling.

Myself and a friend went to City Diner for breakfast the mornings of Jan 14, 15 and 16. The menu covers the basic diner breakfast items which was exactly what we were looking for. There was no delay getting a seat and the staff was quite curteous in sitting us and flex when we preferred another spot. The coffee is... More

We ate here recently with a large group of 6 adults and 4 small children. We found this place because we could not be accommodated at the Italian restaurant across the street in a timely fashion. I compliment this restaurant at quickly accommodating us. This is a typical diner with a large menu. Most of us had hamburgers of some... More

I like the old fashioned diner look. The location is great and easy to get to. The menu reads yummy. There is an all day breakfast menu as well. The salad on the table next to us looked good. I opted for eggs Benedict. The dish was made without love. It looked and tasted like the cheapest quality of ham,... More
