The menu was a little difficult to understand at first but Thomas, our server and I think one of the managers took some time to explain how it worked. We weren't really wanting a big meal. You can order a 4 course meal which includes dessert but we really wanted to sample the fondues. We picked one that Thomas recommended.... More

Nice bar area where you can sit either inside or outside. Great selections of wine by the glass and some very special hand made cocktails. The Fondue comes in many versions using cheese of different kinds or oils also of different types. Cooking at the bar is a lot of fun for both appetizers, main course and of course dessert.... More

First off, let me say that this is not a fast casual experience. Dining at The Melting Pot is a three-hour experience, and well worth every minute!

Overall the melting pot is a grand and wonderful experience. Fondue is delicious but yet extravagant to eat! With the huge assortment of dipped delights, the melting pot has something to offer for everyone. We just ate dessert and where blown away! I can't wait to return one day to do the four course meal.

We were staying in the Hyatt right across the street and decided to try it. My husband, kids (11 & 14), and I absolutely loved it. Our waitress, Leah, was the best. Food was great. We were there for almost 3 hours, just eating, relaxing, and enjoying. Highly recommended for a fun family night out. It is pricey, but worth... More

We were looking for a light dinner and happened to walk in to the melting pot. The hostess was very nice - but that's it. Out waiter was very pushy towards ordering more and more food, we were very clear that we only want a salad and cheese pot. He kept insisting to offer more. The cesar salad was redicoulously... We stopped in at the Melting Pot after a play at La Jolla Playhouse. There were three of us and we ordered a variety of items to share for each course. Everything was outstanding. Our server was Nick who was warm, friendly and full of excellent suggestions. The melting Pot will definitely be on our "must stop list" after plays.

My family ate here on a Friday for dinner, mainly because it was located next to the Hyatt hotel where we were staying. The restaurant was very clean, modern, and comfortable. It's a unique experience eating here, as you basically cook your own food at the table. The cheese fondue and chocolate dessert fondue were good, but the entree we... More

Our teenagers really enjoyed this restaurant. However, the smell from the oils was quite overpowering at times. We hated the cheese fondue it had a really nasty after taste. We had the cheddar with no add ons. The entrees were good and the kids loved the chocolate fondue. We had snickers and dark chocolate with sea salt. They were thrilled... More
