On a recent trip to San Diego, my husband and I wandered around the electic little shops along Adams Avenue. Happened upon Lestat's and went in. Very funky atmosphere. Friendly staff. We enjoyed a breakfast bagel (one to share was plenty and there are several to choose from) and some good coffee for a reasonable price. Enjoyed eavesdropping on a... More

My hubby and I stopped there on our way to the San Diego Zoo. We were prepared to love the place, as we both love the character Lestat in Anne Rice's series beginning with "Interview with the Vampire." We decided to order a sandwich, a salad and a green tea latte. As I strode towards the cash register, I walked... More

Great coffee, lounging, visiting, dog friendly. Experience their sandwiches, bagels or breakfast foods.

They nailed it with the espresso mocha. Nicely done! Great coffee beans, great chocolate and the right amount of milk for a nice medium-thick texture. Also try the mocha with Mexican chocolate, as an added treat.

Coffee was okay Melbourne standards, good by US ones. English breakfast tea was just drinkable, the milk was warm and frothy and added too soon preventing the tea actually brewing and the tea 'bag' was so firm it was quite ineffective. The hot chocolate drinks that were meant to be warm for the kids were actually cold....

The barista was rude. We had three different espresso drinks and all three of us were disappointed. The mocha tasted like hot chocolate. The cheese danish was also only "so-so" as it was a bit soggy.

We like the Fancy Bagel Bash, the ham and egg croissant. Pleasant atmosphere, and attractive, quirky decor. Would love to return.

Not only the best coffee in San Diego, great food as well. The eclectic seating works so well. There's 3 different WiFi channels all unlimited. The layback staff just fit the place so well.

I unexpectedly came here with my friend and she said it was really good. I had gone to another coffee place right before and was holding the cup. The guy at the register was not happy with that and asked me to pour my coffee into one of their cups. The strangest thing ever. They were out of the sandwich... More
