Excellent food and service. More than enough portions. We went there to check out a DDD restaurant. Pleased with our lunch.

Nice ambience, nice and efficient waitresses, nice food. They serve a breakfast that will really break the fast -- portions are generous, tasty, and very pretty to look at. We had lunch here too on the day we arrived in San Diego. That too did not disappoint--- even to an Asian palate.

Had not eaten here for many years, and thank goodness nothing has changed. Same generous, but not "gob of food" portions some restaurants are scooping up these days. Poached eggs were exactly as ordered and completed drained of the cooking water. Choice of fruit was a tasty mix. Waitress and team members attentive and personable. Sparkling clean chandeliers add a... More

The best breakfast in San Diego is advertised here. They offered a large selection on their menu so everyone is catered for. The staff are very friendly & accomodating with frequent offers of more tea or coffee. The Eggs Benedict were excellent & included a bowl of fruit to finish breakfast. A great start to the day is a visit... More

The Hob Nob is a local San Diego institution for a good, hearty breakfast. Reminded me of many Greek owned Coffee Shops. Good food reasonably priced with nice fast service

picked this out while driving by. Had an older feel to this restaurant (not just the restaurant, but the customers - 1 gentleman close to us was asked if he wanted the "usual"). We had pancakes, omelette, hash browns. All was good and the service was good too.

My husband and I spent a night in an Airbnb near Balboa Park. As we walked to the park to see December Lights, we passed Hob Nob Hill. Since the sign on the building said Best Breakfast since 1944, we decided to give it a try and returned the next morning for breakfast. We arrived shortly after 7am and the... More

This iconic restaurant has served San Diegans for decades. It has maintained traditions in service, menu, and atmosphere. To a great extent traditions in restaurants can be a plus. So one walks into Hob Nob Hill and one feels at home immediately. A person feels that he/she has been there before even when this is a first visit. This reviewer... More

Beautiful chandeliers grace the restaurant. The menu features comfort food. But parking is an ongoing problem.
