Had the Grant breakfast ($21 with juice and coffee) a couple of times. Pretty tasty. Great service. The potatoes were a highlight. $21 is a bit steep for bacon, eggs, toast, potatoes, juice, and coffee --- but it was a fun experience.

We ate at the Grant Grill on our first night in San Diego. We arrived late after driving down from LA. We were staying in the hotel and we were hungry so we took the easy option and we are very glad we did. Sergei...More

I was craving a good breakfast and thought of the Grant Grill. They do not disappoint. Great service-our waiter Jose L. was attentive and always professional. He has been our waiter before and I really enjoy how well he takes care of his customers. My...More

I had a light lunch at Grant Grill - the delicious soup of the day was a rich lobster chowder, and I had the petite greens salad. The salad was a meal in itself - the petite refers to "baby" greens rather than the portion....More

We enjoyed the food, it was tasty and prepared well. However, you are going to pay for that. A normal Breakfast for the 3 of us was over $100.

We stopped in for a drink and the menu didn't really have any normal cocktails. They have something called a billionaire cocktail, then an option to share some cocktails. Everything on the menu was just ridiculously expensive. So instead we sat and listened to the...More

Classical, quintessential elegant, romantic restaurant. But without the stodgy menu. Many items give a sense of experimentation, even humor. Food cooked to perfection, some of the best we've found on the West Coast. Had the rack of lamb. Exquisite but portion a little small. Just...More

Think old school, fancy joint with exceptional service. If you value quality over price (expense account) then this is your place. Two people for lunch. We had a turkey sandwich and a large salad. It was really good, but even drinking tap water it was...More

We were looking for a nice place to have a classic cocktail before the show at Balboa Theatre. The Grant Grill inside the luxurious Historic US Grant Hotel couldn’t be much closer or convenient. We cozied up to the bar Which has a nice selection...More

Great spot for a yummy cocktail and appetizer. Lots of comfy seating and it wasn't crowded so we could hear each other and really relax. Service was a little confused. We kept getting asked to go to our table, but we weren't eating there!
