I travel to San Diego a few times a year, and I never miss the opportunity to stop at Searsucker for dinner. In my last two visits there I had scallops “east coast” israeli couscous + almonds + citrus vinaigrette most recently, and the ribeye “tomahawk” cognac + horseradish previously. No matter your main course there are two things you... More

Sat at bar for dinner while on biz trip. I caught the happy hour menu which was a great value until 7pm! Good portions at greatly reduced prices! Quality food. Hip crowd of young and mid aged professionals on this Tuesday evening.

Place is retro, very comfy. Staff is very curious and mellow. They would check on you enough not to disturb your meal. Lovely food

My wife and I were wee looking for somewhere to have our last dinner of our trip and to satisfy her steak craving. After looking at the options in the Galamp we finally settled on the Searsucker and I have to say this turned out to be a very good decision. I the bavette 'flank' whilst my wife had the... More

My family and I came here on our last night in San Diego. They close at 10 and we wondered in around 9:40. Sometimes service can be spotty at the end of the night but that was not the case here. What a great choice! The setting was young, vibrant, and lively. The music and ambiance was perfect. I loved... More

This is a very classy place! We didn't order a lot of food, just appetizers and drinks, but can't wait to go back to try an actual meal. The food was delicious, the drinks were outstanding, and our waitress made it a great experience. She remembered our entire order (didn't write anything down) explained everything on the menu (including drinks),... More

This place was recommended to us by a friend as he said it was one of his favorite places in San Diego. We were in the area an decided to give it a go on a Saturday night, during St. Paddy's weekend. We were there at 520 but it opened at 530. The hostess said we could wait and come... More

Went on a Sunday night for dessert. Was very crowded but not with hipsters. Was more "mature" crowd. Yummy, good vibe and atmosphere.

I was here last year but it was impossible to get a table, too busy. Well, making the reservation for the wrong day (a week later) did not help. This time we got the right day and it was not so crowded. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice, modern and casual. Our waiter was very good. She was... More

Food was great and service was excellent. Fun place - there was a visceral vibe to the music and atmosphere. Lots of fun to people watch those going by in the Gaslamp Quarter too. I had some locally crafted beer with a scallops (East Coast) entree. They were accompanied with Israeli couscous, almonds and citrus vinaigrette. Wonderful flavours which melded... More
