We were here once and had a very good experience, so that is why we returned. It was a smart decision. Nice service, fast and efficient. Nice food, good wine list.

Choose this place for dinner because of its proximity to theater venues. Wait staff efficient and courteous allowing to make our Show Time. The interior is well decorated with good table layout, but somewhat noisy. Food was a disappointment.....overpriced for what was served and over-seasoned...More

Tasty food! The Shrimp & Grits are fantastic! Bartenders friendly and definitely know how to mix a cocktail. One of the go to bars in Gaslamp. Happy hour is a great deal.

Four of us stopped for dinner late in the evening. Music was loud and the food.........was great. Our server basically took over and brought us his top picks. One of which I swear looked like half of a cow. Turns out it was the rib...More

Description
Searsucker, located in the historic Gaslamp District of Downtown San Diego, is a nationally recognized restaurant concept by Top Chef alum Brian Malarkey. Menus are both serious and fun, with creative twists on New American Classics for Weekend Brunch, Weekday Lunch, Dinner and Happy Hour. Dishes range from shared plates and small bites ideal for the whole table, to farm and ocean dishes that you’ll want to keep all to yourself. Searsucker embodies the social dining experience by encouraging guests to come early and stay late. Inspired by the simplicity, relaxed and feel-good vibe of the seersucker fabric, Chef Brian Malarkey created a space that invites patrons to relax and enjoy. The airy design features a glass enclosed kitchen, a lounge space with comfortable seating and a lively bar area. Patrons can watch the action, chat without boundaries and feel as if they’re at a friend’s dinner party rather than a restaurant.
