When you see this restaurant from the street, you don't realize that there is an entire back half in behind, down a hallway. The tables of privacy drapes, which I had never seen before. This was a nice feature. The food was excellent!! I had a vegetable red curry and fresh spring rolls. Definitely a great place to visit if... More

Tried the seafood dishes, fresh and tasty, reasonable priced and attentive staff. Limited wine selection.

Food was good but not great. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. Had candlelit dinner in waterfall room. Atmosphere was nice.

Fantastic food. Reasonable service. Expensive. Some unique curries. If you're downtown or by the convention center, definitely worth trying it!

We're from Boston and came to San Diego with friends. We chose this restaurant by walking by and peeking at the menu. We decided to give it a try and were SO glad that we did. Our server was likable and recommended many great dishes and cocktails. Try the Tom Yum Gai - YUM! And we also had a Lychee... More

Located on the edge of the Gas Lamp Quarter, near the Convention Center, Rama provides very good Thai food in a lovely setting. The room faced the street and contained lovely Thai and Asian artwork; the lighting was pleasantly subdued without being so dark that you couldn't read the menu. My wife and I shared three dishes (massaman curry, crispy... More

We were in desperate need of some substance and it was 4:30pm in the Gas Lamp. The tension was building in the air as fancy clad hostesses cat called at us to eat at their restaurant. Priming for the nights debauchery. We weren't up for loud and cheap bar food, so we were tickled pink when we stumbled on Rama.... More

You get what you opay for. I hate here with two colleagues and we had starters and main courses for $30 without drinks. The food was "patchy". I had a good Pan Fried Roti Bread and Kra Pao (minced chicken) that was meant to be "medium" but that was eye-wateringly spicy. My colleagues had a Shrimp Tom Ga (Soup with... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local, who steered us in the direction. It is centrally located near the Convention Center, and within walking distance to the waterfront and Horton Place Outdoor Mall. Food was delicious and nicely presented. Staff were quick and courteous; and price was very reasonable.
